Therefore,thussaysthe LordGOD,"Behold,My servantswill eat,but you will be hungry.Behold,My servantswill drink,but you will be thirsty.Behold,My servantswill rejoice,but you will be putto shame.
The younglionsdo lackand sufferhunger;But they who seekthe LORDshall not be in wantof anygoodthing.
The righteoushasenoughto satisfyhis appetite,But the stomachof the wickedis in need.
"Ifyou consentand obey,You will eatthe bestof the land;
"The afflictedand needyare seekingwater,but thereis none,And their tongueis parchedwith thirst;I, the LORD,will answerthem Myself, [As] the Godof IsraelI will not forsakethem.
"I will openriverson the bareheightsAnd springsin the midstof the valleys;I will makethe wildernessa poolof waterAnd the drylandfountainsof water.
They will be turnedback[and] be utterlyputto shame,Who trustin idols,Who sayto moltenimages,"You are our gods."

"They will not hungeror thirst,Norwill the scorchingheator sunstrikethem down;For He who hascompassionon them will leadthem And will guidethem to springsof water.
ThereforeMy peoplegointo exilefor their lackof knowledge;And their honorablemenare famished,And their multitudeis parchedwith thirst.
Behold,allyou who kindlea fire,Who encircleyourselves with firebrands,Walkin the lightof your fireAnd among the brandsyou have setablaze.Thisyou will havefrom My hand:You will liedownin torment.
