The nationswill seeyour righteousness,And allkingsyour glory;And you will be calledby a newnameWhichthe mouthof the LORDwill designate.
Then Godsaidto Abraham,"As for Saraiyour wife,you shall not callher nameSarai,but Sarah[shall be] her name.
"Nolongershall your namebe calledAbram,But your nameshall be Abraham;For I will makeyou the fatherof a multitudeof nations.
He said,"Your nameshall nolongerbe Jacob,but Israel;for you have strivenwith Godand with menand have prevailed."
The LORDhas madeknownHis salvation;He has revealedHis righteousnessin the sightof the nations.
"Then I will restoreyour judgesas at the first,And your counselorsas at the beginning;Afterthat you will be calledthe cityof righteousness,A faithfulcity."
"Openthe gates,that the righteousnationmay enter,The one that remainsfaithful.
Everyonewho is calledby My name,And whom I have createdfor My glory,Whom I have formed,evenwhom I have made."
"Kingswill be your guardians,And their princessesyour nurses.They will bowdownto you with their facesto the earthAnd lickthe dustof your feet;And [you] will knowthat I am the LORD;Those whohopefullywaitfor Me will not be putto shame.
He says,"It is toosmalla thingthat You should be My ServantTo raiseup the tribesof Jacoband to restorethe preservedones of Israel;I will also makeYou a lightof the nationsSo that My salvationmay reachto the endof the earth."
The LORDhas baredHis holyarmIn the sightof allthe nations,That allthe endsof the earthmay seeThe salvationof our God.
To them I will givein My houseand within My wallsa memorial,And a namebetterthanthat of sonsand daughters;I will givethem an everlastingnamewhichwill not be cutoff.
"Your gateswill be opencontinually;They will not be closeddayor night,So that [men] may bringto you the wealthof the nations,With their kingsledin procession.
"You will also suckthe milkof nationsAnd suckthe breastof kings;Then you will knowthat I, the LORD,am your SaviorAnd your Redeemer,the MightyOneof Jacob.
For as the earthbringsforthits sprouts,And as a gardencauses the thingssownin it to springup, Sothe LordGODwill cause righteousnessand praiseTo springup beforeallthe nations.
Then their offspringwill be knownamong the nations,And their descendantsin the midstof the peoples.Allwho seethem will recognizethem Becausethey are the offspring[whom] the LORDhas blessed.
And they will callthem, "The holypeople,The redeemedof the LORD";And you will be called,"Soughtout, a citynot forsaken."
It will nolongerbe saidto you, "Forsaken,"Norto your landwill it anylongerbe said,"Desolate";But you will be called,"My delightis in her," And your land,"Married";For the LORDdelightsin you, And [to Him] your landwill be married.
"You will leaveyour namefor a curseto My chosenones,And the LordGODwill slayyou. But My servantswill be calledby anothername.
That you may nurseand be satisfiedwith her comfortingbreasts,That you may suckand be delightedwith her bountifulbosom."
For thussaysthe LORD,"Behold,I extendpeaceto her like a river,And the gloryof the nationslike an overflowingstream;And you will be nursed,you will be carriedon the hipand fondledon the knees.
"I will seta signamong them and will sendsurvivorsfrom them to the nations:Tarshish,Put,Lud,Meshech,Rosh,Tubaland Javan,to the distantcoastlandsthat have neitherheardMy famenorseenMy glory.And they will declareMy gloryamong the nations.
In thosedaysJudahwill be savedand Jerusalemwill dwellin safety;and thisis [the name] by whichshe will be called:the LORDis our righteousness.'
It will be to Me a nameof joy,praiseand glorybefore allthe nationsof the earthwhichwill hearof allthe goodthat I dofor them, and they will fearand tremblebecauseof allthe goodand allthe peacethat I makefor it.'
The remnantof JacobWill be among the nations,AmongmanypeoplesLike a lionamong the beastsof the forest,Like a younglionamong flocksof sheep,Which,ifhe passesthrough,Tramplesdownand tears,And thereis noneto rescue.
and when he had foundhim, he broughthim to Antioch.And for an entireyearthey metwith the churchand taughtconsiderablenumbers;and the discipleswere firstcalledChristiansin Antioch.
that the Christwas to suffer,[and] that by reasonof [His] resurrectionfrom the deadHe wouldbe the firstto proclaimlightbothto the [Jewish] peopleand to the Gentiles."
But the Lordsaidto him, "Go,for he is a choseninstrumentof Mine,to bearMy namebeforethe Gentilesand kingsand the sonsof Israel;
ifindeedyou continuein the faithfirmly establishedand steadfast,and not moved awayfrom the hopeof the gospelthat you have heard,which was proclaimedin allcreationunderheaven,and of whichI, Paul,was madea minister.
He who hasan ear,let him hearwhatthe Spiritsaysto the churches.To him who overcomes,to him I will give[some] of the hiddenmanna,and I will givehim a whitestone,and a newnamewrittenon the stonewhichno oneknowsbut he who receivesit.'
He who overcomes,I will makehim a pillarin the templeof My God,and he will not goout from it anymore;and I will writeon him the nameof My God,and the nameof the cityof My God,the newJerusalem,which comes downout of heavenfrom My God,and My newname.
