"Insteadof the thornbushthe cypresswill comeup, And insteadof the nettlethe myrtlewill comeup, And it will be a memorialto the LORD,For an everlastingsignwhich will not be cutoff."
Let the fieldexult,and allthat is in it. Thenallthe treesof the forestwill singfor joy
It will becomea signand a witnessto the LORDof hostsin the landof Egypt;for they will cryto the LORDbecauseof oppressors,and He will sendthem a Saviorand a Champion,and He will deliverthem.
For the landof my people[in which] thorns[and] briarsshall comeup; Yea,for allthe joyfulhouses[and for] the jubilantcity.
The wildernessand the desertwill be glad,And the Arabahwill rejoiceand blossom;Like the crocus
It will blossomprofuselyAnd rejoicewith rejoicingand shoutof joy.The gloryof Lebanonwill be givento it, The majestyof Carmeland Sharon.They will seethe gloryof the LORD,The majestyof our God.
"I will putthe cedarin the wilderness,The acaciaand the myrtleand the olivetree;I will placethe juniperin the desertTogetherwith the boxtreeand the cypress,
"The peoplewhomI formedfor Myself Will declareMy praise.
"I will layit waste;It will not be prunedor hoed,But briarsand thornswill comeup. I will also chargethe cloudsto rainnorainon it."
"For the mountainsmay be removedand the hillsmay shake,But My lovingkindnesswill not be removedfrom you, And My covenantof peacewill not be shaken,"Saysthe LORDwho hascompassionon you.
To them I will givein My houseand within My wallsa memorial,And a namebetterthanthat of sonsand daughters;I will givethem an everlastingnamewhichwill not be cutoff.
"The gloryof Lebanonwill cometo you, The juniper,the boxtreeand the cypresstogether,To beautifythe placeof My sanctuary;And I shall makethe placeof My feetglorious.
"Insteadof bronzeI will bringgold,And insteadof ironI will bringsilver,And insteadof wood,bronze,And insteadof stones,iron.And I will makepeaceyour administratorsAnd righteousnessyour overseers.
"Then allyour people[will be] righteous;They will possessthe landforever,The branchof My planting,The workof My hands,That I may be glorified.
To grantthose who mourn[in] Zion,Givingthem a garlandinsteadof ashes,The oilof gladnessinsteadof mourning,The mantleof praiseinsteadof a spiritof fainting.So they will be calledoaksof righteousness,The plantingof the LORD,that He may be glorified.
Who caused His gloriousarmto goat the righthandof Moses,Who dividedthe watersbeforethem to makefor Himself an everlastingname,
As the cattlewhich godowninto the valley,The Spiritof the LORDgavethem rest.SoYou ledYour people,To makefor Yourself a gloriousname.
"Aska signfor yourself from the LORDyour God;make[it] deepas Sheolorhighas heaven."
They will allcomeand settleon the steepravines,on the ledgesof the cliffs,on allthe thornbushesand on allthe wateringplaces.
[People] will cometherewith bowsand arrowsbecauseallthe landwill be briarsand thorns.
For as the waistbandclingsto the waistof a man,soI made the wholehouseholdof Israeland the wholehouseholdof Judahclingto Me,' declaresthe LORD,'that they might be for Me a people,for renown,for praiseand for glory;but they did not listen.'
It will be to Me a nameof joy,praiseand glorybefore allthe nationsof the earthwhichwill hearof allthe goodthat I dofor them, and they will fearand tremblebecauseof allthe goodand allthe peacethat I makefor it.'
"They will askfor the wayto Zion,[turning] their facesin its direction;they will comethat they may jointhemselves to the LORD[in] an everlastingcovenantthat will not be forgotten.
"And there will be nomorefor the houseof Israela pricklingbrieror a painfulthornfrom anyroundaboutthem who scornedthem; then they will knowthat I am the LordGOD."
The bestof them is like a briar,The most uprightlike a thornhedge.The daywhen you post your watchmen,Your punishmentwill come.Thentheir confusionwill occur.
I sawat night,and behold,a manwas ridingon a redhorse,and he was standingamongthe myrtletreeswhichwere in the ravine,with red,sorreland whitehorsesbehindhim.
"Gloryto Godin the highest,And on earthpeaceamongmenwith whom He is pleased."
"My Fatheris glorifiedby this,that you bearmuchfruit,and [so] proveto be My disciples.
I am speakingin human termsbecauseof the weaknessof your flesh.For justas you presentedyour membersas slavesto impurityand to lawlessness,resultingin [further] lawlessness,sonowpresentyour membersas slavesto righteousness,resultingin sanctification.
Thereforeifanyoneis in Christ,[he is] a newcreature;the old thingspassed away;behold,new thingshave come.
Whoeverspeaks,[is to do so] as onewho is speakingthe utterancesof God;whoeverserves[is to do] [so] as onewho is servingby the strengthwhichGodsupplies;sothat in all thingsGodmay be glorifiedthroughJesusChrist,to whombelongsthe gloryand dominionforeverand ever.Amen.
