Let MountZionbe glad,Let the daughtersof JudahrejoiceBecauseof Your judgments.
Let the fieldexult,and allthat is in it. Thenallthe treesof the forestwill singfor joy
Zionheard[this] and was glad,And the daughtersof Judahhave rejoicedBecauseof Your judgments,O LORD.
"I am the roseof Sharon,The lilyof the valleys."
And it will be saidin that day,"Behold,thisis our Godfor whom we have waitedthat He might saveus. Thisis the LORDfor whom we have waited;Let us rejoiceand be gladin His salvation."
For the fortifiedcityis isolated,A homesteadforlornand forsakenlike the desert;Therethe calfwill graze,And thereit will liedownand feedon its branches.
In the days to comeJacobwill takeroot,Israelwill blossomand sprout,And they will fillthe wholeworldwith fruit.
Is it not yetjust a littlewhileBefore Lebanonwill be turnedinto a fertilefield,And the fertilefieldwill be consideredas a forest?
Thenthe lamewill leaplike a deer,And the tongueof the mutewill shoutfor joy.For waterswill breakforthin the wildernessAnd streamsin the Arabah.
In that daythe Branchof the LORDwill be beautifuland glorious,and the fruitof the earth[will be] the prideand the adornmentof the survivorsof Israel.
A voiceis calling,"Clearthe wayfor the LORDin the wilderness;Makesmoothin the deserta highwayfor our God.
Let the wildernessand its citiesliftup [their voices], The settlementswhere Kedarinhabits.Let the inhabitantsof Selasingaloud,Let them shoutfor joyfrom the topsof the mountains.
"Behold,I will dosomethingnew,Nowit will springforth;Will you not be awareof it? I will evenmakea roadwayin the wilderness,Riversin the desert.
Indeed,the LORDwill comfortZion;He will comfortallher wasteplaces.And her wildernessHe will makelike Eden,And her desertlike the gardenof the LORD;Joyand gladnesswill be foundin her, Thanksgivingand soundof a melody.
Then I said,"Lord,howlong?"And He answered,"Untilcitiesare devastated[and] withoutinhabitant,Housesare withoutpeopleAnd the landis utterlydesolate,
Now in that daya manmay keepalivea heiferand a pairof sheep;
"They will say,'Thisdesolatelandhas becomelike the gardenof Eden;and the waste,desolateand ruinedcitiesare fortified[and] inhabited.'
