Yet He alsois wiseand will bringdisasterAnd does not retractHis words,But will ariseagainstthe houseof evildoersAnd againstthe helpof the workersof iniquity.
"With Him are wisdomand might;To Him belong counseland understanding.
"With Him are strengthand soundwisdom,The misledand the misleaderbelong to Him.
"He capturesthe wiseby their own shrewdness,And the adviceof the cunningis quicklythwarted.
Alas,sinfulnation,Peopleweigheddownwith iniquity,Offspringof evildoers,Sonswho actcorruptly!They have abandonedthe LORD,They have despisedthe HolyOneof Israel,They have turnedawayfrom Him.
"You will not be unitedwith them in burial,Becauseyou have ruinedyour country,You have slainyour people.May the offspringof evildoersnot be mentionedforever.
and the remainderof the numberof bowmen,the mightymenof the sonsof Kedar,will be few;for the LORDGodof Israelhas spoken."
But the LORDof hostsrevealedHimself to me, "Surelythisiniquityshall not be forgivenyou Untilyou die,"saysthe LordGODof hosts.
For the LORDwill riseup as [at] MountPerazim,He will be stirredup as in the valleyof Gibeon,To doHis task,His unusualtask,And to workHis work,His extraordinarywork.
Thisalsocomesfrom the LORDof hosts,[Who] has made[His] counselwonderfuland [His] wisdomgreat.
"Therefore the safetyof Pharaohwill be your shameAnd the shelterin the shadowof Egypt,your humiliation.
Even Egypt,whose helpis vainand empty.Therefore,I have calledher "Rahabwhohas been exterminated."
Now the Egyptiansare menand not God,And their horsesare fleshand not spirit;So the LORDwill stretchout His hand,And he who helpswill stumbleAnd he who is helpedwill fall,And allof them will cometo an endtogether.
For a foolspeaksnonsense,And his heartinclinestoward wickedness:To practiceungodlinessand to speakerroragainstthe LORD,To keepthe hungrypersonunsatisfiedAnd to withholddrinkfrom the thirsty.
The One forminglightand creatingdarkness,Causingwell-beingand creatingcalamity;I am the LORDwho doesallthese.
Thereforethe Lorddoes not takepleasurein their youngmen,Nordoes He havepityon their orphansor their widows;For everyoneof them is godlessand an evildoer,And everymouthis speakingfoolishness.In [spite of] allthis,His angerdoes not turnawayAnd His handis stillstretchedout.
[It is] He who madethe earthby His power,Who establishedthe worldby His wisdom;And by His understandingHe has stretchedout the heavens.
Whowould not fearYou, O Kingof the nations?Indeedit is Your due!For among allthe wisemenof the nationsAnd in alltheir kingdoms,Thereis nonelikeYou.
Then Jeremiahtookanotherscrolland gaveit to Baruchthe sonof Neriah,the scribe,and he wroteon it at the dictationof Jeremiahallthe wordsof the bookwhichJehoiakimkingof Judahhad burnedin the fire;and manysimilar wordswere addedto them.
"Then allthe inhabitantsof Egyptwill knowthat I am the LORD,Becausethey have been[only] a staff[made] of reedto the houseof Israel.
Ifa trumpetis blownin a citywill not the peopletremble?Ifa calamityoccursin a cityhas not the LORDdoneit?
"Thereforewaitfor Me," declaresthe LORD,"For the daywhen I riseup as a witness.Indeed,My decisionis to gathernations,To assemblekingdoms,To pourout on them My indignation,AllMy burninganger;For allthe earthwill be devouredBy the fireof My zeal.
"But did not My wordsand My statutes,whichI commandedMy servantsthe prophets,overtakeyour fathers?Then they repentedand said,As the LORDof hostspurposedto doto us in accordance with our waysand our deeds,soHe has dealtwith us.'"'"
Then it cameabout when the arksetout that Mosessaid,"Riseup, O LORD!And let Your enemiesbe scattered,And let those who hateYou fleebeforeYou."
"Godis not a man,that He should lie,Nora sonof man,that He should repent;Has He said,and will He not doit? Or has He spoken,and will He not makeit good?
"Heavenand earthwill passaway,but My wordswill not pass away.
to the onlywiseGod,throughJesusChrist,be the gloryforever.Amen.
"It shall comeabout that justas allthe goodwordswhichthe LORDyour Godspoketo you have comeupon you, sothe LORDwill bringupon you allthe threats,untilHe has destroyedyou from offthisgoodlandwhichthe LORDyour Godhas givenyou.
to the onlyGodour Savior,throughJesusChristour Lord,[be] glory,majesty,dominionand authority,beforealltimeand nowand forever.Amen.
"Boastnomoreso veryproudly,Do not let arrogancecomeout of your mouth;For the LORDis a Godof knowledge,And with Him actionsare weighed.
