Thereforethrough thisJacob'siniquitywill be forgiven;And thiswill be the fullpriceof the pardoningof his sin:When he makesallthe altarstoneslike pulverizedchalkstones;[When] Asherimand incensealtarswill not stand.
Whenthe Lordhas washedawaythe filthof the daughtersof Zionand purgedthe bloodshedof Jerusalemfrom her midst,by the spiritof judgmentand the spiritof burning,
The bellowsblowfiercely,The leadis consumedby the fire;In vainthe refininggoeson, But the wickedare not separated.
"Your dwellingis in the midstof deceit;Through deceitthey refuseto knowMe," declaresthe LORD.
Thereforethussaysthe LORDof hosts,"Behold,I will refinethem and assaythem; For what[else] can I do,becauseof the daughterof My people?
and I will purgefrom you the rebelsand those who transgressagainst Me; I will bringthem out of the landwherethey sojourn,but they will not enterthe landof Israel.Thus you will knowthat I am the LORD.
"Therefore,thussaysthe LordGOD,'Becauseallof you have becomedross,therefore,behold,I am going to gatheryou into the midstof Jerusalem.
As they gathersilverand bronzeand ironand leadand tininto the furnaceto blowfireon it in order to melt[it], soI will gather[you] in My angerand in My wrathand I will layyou [there] and meltyou.
As silveris meltedin the furnace,soyou will be meltedin the midstof it; and you will knowthat I, the LORD,have pouredout My wrathon you.'"

"Rejoice,O nations,[with] His people;For He will avengethe bloodof His servants,And will rendervengeanceon His adversaries,And will atonefor His land[and] His people."
