So the LORDsaidto him, "ThereforewhoeverkillsCain,vengeancewill be takenon him sevenfold."And the LORDappointeda signfor Cain,so that noonefindinghim would slayhim.
IfCainis avengedsevenfold,Then Lamechseventy-sevenfold."
Moreover,the wordof the LORDthroughthe prophetJehuthe sonof HananialsocameagainstBaashaand his household,both becauseof allthe evilwhichhe didin the sightof the LORD,provokingHim to angerwith the workof his hands,in beinglike the houseof Jeroboam,and becausehe struckit.
Do not slaythem, ormy peoplewill forget;Scatterthem by Your power,and bringthem down,O Lord,our shield.
And returnto our neighborssevenfoldinto their bosomThe reproachwith whichthey have reproachedYou, O Lord.
But when he is found,he must repaysevenfold;He must giveallthe substanceof his house.
The LORDsaidto him, "Gothrough the midstof the city,[even] through the midstof Jerusalem,and puta markon the foreheadsof the menwho sighand groanoverallthe abominationswhich are being committedin its midst."
"Utterlyslayoldmen,youngmen,maidens,littlechildren,and women,but do not touchanymanon whomis the mark;and you shall startfrom My sanctuary."So they startedwith the elderswho[were] beforethe temple.
And the LORDsaidto him, "Namehim Jezreel;for yeta littlewhile,and I will punishthe houseof Jehufor the bloodshedof Jezreel,and I will putan endto the kingdomof the houseof Israel.
Ifalso afterthesethingsyou do not obeyMe, then I will punishyou seventimesmorefor your sins.
Ifthen, you actwith hostilityagainstMe and are unwillingto obeyMe, I will increasethe plagueon you seventimesaccording to your sins.
then I will actwith hostilityagainstyou; and I, evenI, will strikeyou seventimesfor your sins.
then I will actwith wrathfulhostilityagainstyou, and I, evenI, will punishyou seventimesfor your sins.
ThenJesussaidto him, "Putyour swordbackinto its place;for allthosewho takeup the swordshall perishby the sword.
"And the smokeof their tormentgoesup foreverand ever;they havenorestdayand night,thosewho worshipthe beastand his image,and whoeverreceivesthe markof his name."
Thenanotherangel,a third one,followedthem, sayingwith a loudvoice,"Ifanyoneworshipsthe beastand his image,and receivesa markon his foreheadoron his hand,
