Godcameto Labanthe Arameanin a dreamof the nightand saidto him, "Be carefulthat you do not speakto Jacobeithergoodorbad."
But Godcameto Abimelechin a dreamof the night,and saidto him, "Behold,you are a deadman becauseof the womanwhomyou have taken,for she is married."
Then Godsaidto him in the dream,"Yes,I knowthat in the integrityof your heartyou have donethis,and I alsokeptyou from sinningagainst Me; thereforeI did not letyou touchher.
Then Labanand Bethuelreplied,"The mattercomesfrom the LORD;[so] we cannotspeakto you badorgood.
Then IsaacsentJacobaway,and he wentto Paddan-aramto Laban,sonof Bethuelthe Aramean,the brotherof Rebekah,the motherof Jacoband Esau.
"And it cameabout at the timewhen the flockwere matingthat I liftedup my eyesand sawin a dream,and behold,the malegoatswhich were mating[were] striped,speckled,and mottled.
"Then the angelof Godsaidto me in the dream,'Jacob,'and I said,'HereI am.'
then he tookhis kinsmenwith him and pursuedhim [a distance of] sevendays'journey,and he overtookhim in the hillcountryof Gilead.
Labancaughtup with Jacob.Now Jacobhad pitchedhis tentin the hillcountry,and Labanwith his kinsmencampedin the hillcountryof Gilead.
"It is in my powerto doyou harm,but the Godof your fatherspoketo me lastnight,saying,Be carefulnot to speakeithergoodorbadto Jacob.'
"Ifthe Godof my father,the Godof Abraham,and the fearof Isaac,hadnot beenfor me, surelynowyou would have sentme awayempty-handed.Godhas seenmy afflictionand the toilof my hands,so He renderedjudgmentlastnight."
"Yet your fatherhas cheatedme and changedmy wagestentimes;however, Goddid not allowhim to hurtme.
Then the cupbearerand the bakerfor the kingof Egypt,whowere confinedin jail,bothhada dreamthe samenight,eachmanwith his [own] dream[and] eachdreamwith its [own] interpretation.
Now it happenedat the endof two fullyearsthat Pharaohhada dream,and behold,he was standingby the Nile.
But Absalomdid not speakto Amnoneithergoodorbad;for AbsalomhatedAmnonbecausehe had violatedhis sisterTamar.
In Gibeonthe LORDappearedto Solomonin a dreamat night;and Godsaid,"Askwhat[you wish] me to giveyou."
Let his fleshbecomefresherthanin youth,Let him returnto the daysof his youthfulvigor;
"Becauseof your ragingagainstMe And because your arrogancehas comeup to My ears,Therefore I will putMy hookin your noseAnd My bridlein your lips,And I will turnyou backby the waywhichyou came.
Now Jacobfledto the landof Aram,And Israelworkedfor a wife,And for a wifehe kept[sheep].
He said,"HearnowMy words:Ifthere is a prophetamong you, I, the LORD,shall makeMyself knownto him in a vision.I shall speakwith him in a dream.
Godcameto Balaamat nightand saidto him, "Ifthe menhave cometo callyou, riseup [and] gowith them; but onlythe wordwhichI speakto you shall you do."
The angelof the LORDwentfurther,and stoodin a narrowplacewheretherewas nowayto turnto the righthandor the left.
ThoughBalakwere to giveme his housefullof silverand gold,I couldnot doanything contraryto the commandof the LORD,either goodorbad,of my own accord.Whatthe LORDspeaks,that I will speak'?
But when he had consideredthis,behold,an angelof the Lordappearedto him in a dream,saying,"Joseph,sonof David,do not be afraidto takeMaryas your wife;for the Child whohas been conceivedin her is of the HolySpirit.
And having been warned[by God] in a dreamnot to returnto Herod,the magi leftfor their own countryby anotherway.
While he was sittingon the judgment seat,his wifesenthim [a message], saying,"Have nothingto do with that righteous Man;for last nightI sufferedgreatlyin a dreambecauseof Him."
"You shall answerand saybeforethe LORDyour God,My fatherwas a wanderingAramean,and he wentdownto Egyptand sojournedthere,fewin number;but therehe becamea great,mightyand populousnation.
