Then God said,"Behold,I am going to makea covenant.Beforeallyour peopleI will performmiracleswhichhave not been producedin allthe earthnoramong anyof the nations;and allthe peopleamongwhomyou live will seethe workingof the LORD,for it is a fearfulthingthat I am going to performwith you.
"He is your praiseand He is your God,whohas donethesegreatand awesomethingsfor you whichyour eyeshave seen.
You are the Godwho workswonders;You have madeknownYour strengthamong the peoples.
When You didawesomethingswhich we did not expect,You camedown,the mountainsquakedat Your presence.
Comeand seethe worksof God,[Who is] awesomein [His] deedstowardthe sonsof men.
You broughtYour peopleIsraelout of the landof Egyptwith signsand with wonders,and with a stronghandand with an outstretchedarmand with greatterror;
"And whatonenationon the earthis like Your peopleIsrael,whomGodwentto redeemfor Himself as a peopleand to makea namefor Himself, and to doa greatthingfor You and awesomethingsfor Your land,beforeYour peoplewhomYou have redeemedfor Yourself from Egypt,[from] nationsand their gods?
He wroughtwondersbeforetheir fathersIn the landof Egypt,in the fieldof Zoan.
Sayto God,"Howawesomeare Your works!Because of the greatnessof Your powerYour enemieswill givefeignedobedienceto You.
"Howcould onechasea thousand,And twoputtenthousandto flight,Unlesstheir Rockhad soldthem, And the LORDhad giventhem up?
So the peopleshouted,and [priests] blewthe trumpets;and when the peopleheardthe soundof the trumpet,the peopleshoutedwith a greatshoutand the wallfelldownflat,so that the peoplewentup into the city,everymanstraightahead,and they tookthe city.
Then the LORDsaidto Moses,"Writedownthesewords,for in accordancewith thesewordsI have madea covenantwith you and with Israel."
Men shall speakof the powerof Your awesomeacts,And I will tellof Your greatness.
Wondersin the landof Ham[And] awesomethings by the RedSea.
He will cutoffthe spiritof princes;He is fearedby the kingsof the earth.
By awesome[deeds] You answerus in righteousness,O Godof our salvation,You whoare the trustof allthe endsof the earthand of the farthestsea;
He has not dealtthuswith anynation;And as for His ordinances,they have not knownthem. Praisethe LORD!
"So He declaredto you His covenantwhichHe commandedyou to perform,[that is], the TenCommandments;and He wrotethem on twotabletsof stone.
O God,[You are] awesomefrom Your sanctuary.The Godof IsraelHimselfgivesstrengthand powerto the people.Blessedbe God!
So he was therewith the LORDfortydaysand fortynights;he did not eatbreador drinkwater.And he wroteon the tabletsthe wordsof the covenant,the TenCommandments.
"For I was afraidof the angerand hotdispleasurewith whichthe LORDwas wrathfulagainstyou in order to destroyyou, but the LORDlistenedto me that timealso.
Blessedbe the LORDGod,the Godof Israel,Who aloneworkswonders.
To Him who alonedoesgreatwonders,For His lovingkindnessis everlasting;
"As in the dayswhen you cameout from the landof Egypt,I will showyou miracles."
