"In the tentof meeting,outsidethe veilwhichis beforethe testimony,Aaronand his sonsshall keepit in orderfrom eveningto morningbeforethe LORD;[it shall be] a perpetualstatutethroughout their generationsfor the sonsof Israel.
Godcalledthe lightday,and the darknessHe callednight.And there was eveningand there was morning,oneday.
Godcalledthe expanseheaven.And there was eveningand there was morning,a secondday.
"Everymorningand eveningthey burnto the LORDburntofferingsand fragrantincense,and the showbreadis [set] on the cleantable,and the goldenlampstandwith its lampsis [ready] to lighteveryevening;for we keepthe chargeof the LORDour God,but you have forsakenHim.
Behold,blessthe LORD,allservantsof the LORD,Who serveby nightin the houseof the LORD!
Now thisdaywill be a memorialto you, and you shall celebrateit [as] a feastto the LORD;throughout your generationsyou are to celebrateit [as] a permanentordinance.
As the LORDcommandedMoses,so Aaronplacedit beforethe Testimony,to be kept.
"You shall putinto the arkthe testimonywhichI shall giveyou.
"They shall be on Aaronand on his sonswhen they enterthe tentof meeting,orwhen they approachthe altarto ministerin the holyplace, so that they do not incurguiltand die.It [shall be] a statuteforeverto him and to his descendantsafterhim.
"It shall be for Aaronand his sonsas [their] portionforeverfrom the sonsof Israel,for it is a heaveoffering;and it shall be a heaveofferingfrom the sonsof Israelfrom the sacrificesof their peaceofferings,[even] their heaveofferingto the LORD.
"It shall be a continualburntofferingthroughout your generationsat the doorwayof the tentof meetingbeforethe LORD,whereI will meetwith you, to speakto you there.
"I will consecratethe tentof meetingand the altar;I will also consecrateAaronand his sonsto ministeras prieststo Me.
"So they shall washtheir handsand their feet,so that they will not die;and it shall be a perpetualstatutefor them, for Aaron and his descendantsthroughout their generations."
"You shall beatsomeof it veryfine,and putpart of it beforethe testimonyin the tentof meetingwhereI will meetwith you; it shall be mostholyto you.
"When Aarontrimsthe lampsat twilight,he shall burnincense.[There shall be] perpetualincensebeforethe LORDthroughout your generations.
"You shall placethe arkof the testimonythere,and you shall screenthe arkwith the veil.
"Do not drinkwineor strongdrink,neither you noryour sonswith you, when you comeinto the tentof meeting,so that you will not die--it is a perpetualstatutethroughout your generations--
"Now you shall havethisas a permanentstatute,to makeatonementfor the sonsof Israelfor alltheir sinsonceevery year."And justas the LORDhad commandedMoses,[so] he did.
"They shall nolongersacrificetheir sacrificesto the goatdemonswith whichthey playthe harlot.Thisshall be a permanentstatuteto them throughout their generations."'
Untilthissameday,untilyou have broughtin the offeringof your God,you shall eatneitherbreadnorroastedgrainnornewgrowth.It is to be a perpetualstatutethroughout your generationsin allyour dwellingplaces.
On thissamedayyou shall makea proclamationas well; you are to havea holyconvocation.You shall donolaboriouswork.It is to be a perpetualstatutein allyour dwellingplacesthroughout your generations.
"Commandthe sonsof Israelthat they bringto you clearoilfrom beatenolivesfor the light,to make a lampburncontinually.
"Outsidethe veilof testimonyin the tentof meeting,Aaronshall keepit in orderfrom eveningto morningbeforethe LORDcontinually;[it shall be] a perpetualstatutethroughout your generations.
"It shall be for Aaronand his sons,and they shall eatit in a holyplace;for it is mostholyto him from the LORD'Sofferingsby fire,[his] portionforever."
It is a perpetualstatutethroughout your generationsin allyour dwellings:you shall not eatanyfator anyblood.'"
and he shall layhis handon the headof his offeringand slayit beforethe tentof meeting,and Aaron'ssonsshall sprinkleits bloodaroundon the altar.
Then one [of them] shall liftup from it a handfulof the fineflourof the grain offering,with its oiland allthe incensethat is on the grain offering,and he shall offer[it] up in smokeon the altar,a soothingaroma,as its memorialofferingto the LORD.
Thesethe LORDhad commandedto be giventhem from the sonsof Israelin the daythat He anointedthem. It is [their] dueforeverthroughout their generations.'"
"For the lipsof a priestshould preserveknowledge,and men should seekinstructionfrom his mouth;for he is the messengerof the LORDof hosts.
"Only the Levitesshall performthe serviceof the tentof meeting,and they shall beartheir iniquity;it shall be a perpetualstatutethroughout your generations,and amongthe sonsof Israelthey shall havenoinheritance.
"So you shall attendto the obligationsof the sanctuaryand the obligationsof the altar,so that there will nolongerbe wrathon the sonsof Israel.
So it shall be a perpetualstatutefor them. And he who sprinklesthe waterfor impurityshall washhis clothes,and he who touchesthe waterfor impurityshall be uncleanuntilevening.
Thesethingsshall be for a statutoryordinanceto you throughout your generationsin allyour dwellings.
"So you shall presentthe Levitesbeforethe tentof meeting.You shall also assemblethe wholecongregationof the sonsof Israel,
"THE PEOPLEWHO WERE SITTINGIN DARKNESSSAWA GREATLIGHT,AND THOSEWHO WERE SITTINGIN THE LANDAND SHADOWOF DEATH,UPON THEM A LIGHTDAWNED."
"Be dressed in readiness,and [keep] your lampslit.
"He was the lampthat was burningand was shiningand you were willingto rejoicefor a whilein his light.
For God,who said,"Lightshall shineout of darkness,"is the One whohas shonein our heartsto give the Lightof the knowledgeof the gloryof Godin the faceof Christ.
[So] we havethe propheticword[made] more sure,to whichyou dowellto pay attentionas to a lampshiningin a darkplace,untilthe daydawnsand the morning stararisesin your hearts.
"To the angelof the churchin Ephesuswrite:The One who holdsthe sevenstarsin His right hand,the One who walksamongthe sevengoldenlampstands,saysthis:
and the lampof Godhad not yetgoneout, and Samuelwas lyingdownin the templeof the LORDwherethe arkof God[was],
So it has beenfrom that dayforward,that he madeit a statuteand an ordinancefor Israelto thisday.
