Rememberalso your Creatorin the daysof your youth,beforethe evildayscomeand the yearsdrawnearwhenyou will say,"I havenodelightin them";
The LORDwas with Joseph,so he becamea successfulman.And he was in the houseof his master,the Egyptian.
The chiefjailerdid not superviseanythingunder Joseph's chargebecausethe LORDwas with him; and whateverhe did,the LORDmade to prosper.
"I am noweightyyearsold.Can I distinguishbetweengoodand bad?Orcan your servanttastewhatI eator whatI drink?Orcan I hearanymorethe voiceof singingmen and women? Whythen should your servantbe an addedburdento my lordthe king?
"Your servantwould merelycrossoverthe Jordanwith the king.Whyshould the kingcompensateme [with] thisreward?
"AllIsraelshall mournfor him and buryhim, for he aloneof Jeroboam's[family] will cometo the grave,becausein him somethinggoodwas foundtowardthe LORDGodof Israelin the houseof Jeroboam.
"It will comeabout when I leaveyou that the Spiritof the LORDwill carryyou whereI do not know;so when I comeand tellAhaband he cannotfindyou, he will killme, although [I] your servanthave fearedthe LORDfrom my youth.
When I saw[their fear], I roseand spoketo the nobles,the officialsand the restof the people:"Do not be afraidof them; rememberthe Lordwho is greatand awesome,and fightfor your brothers,your sons,your daughters,your wivesand your houses."
"Indeed,what[good was] the strengthof their handsto me? Vigorhad perishedfrom them.
O LORD,I rememberYour namein the night,And keepYour law.
Come,you children,listento me; I will teachyou the fearof the LORD.
WhenI rememberYou on my bed,I meditateon You in the night watches,
As for the daysof our life,they contain seventyyears,Or ifdue to strength,eightyyears,Yet their prideis [but] laborand sorrow;For soonit is goneand we flyaway.
Trainup a childin the wayhe should go, Evenwhenhe is oldhe will not departfrom it.
"I lovethose who loveme; And those who diligentlyseekme will findme.
So, removegriefand angerfrom your heartand putawaypainfrom your body,becausechildhoodand the primeof lifeare fleeting.
Divideyour portionto seven,or evento eight,for you do not knowwhatmisfortunemay occuron the earth.
Indeed,ifa manshould livemanyyears,let him rejoicein them all,and let him rememberthe daysof darkness,for they will be many.Everythingthat is to come[will be] futility.
Indeed,[while following] the wayof Your judgments,O LORD,We have waitedfor You eagerly;Your name,even Your memory,is the desireof [our] souls.
[It is] goodfor a manthat he should bearThe yokein his youth.
As for thesefouryouths,Godgavethem knowledgeand intelligencein every[branch of] literatureand wisdom;Danieleven understoodall[kinds of] visionsand dreams.
Strangersdevourhis strength,Yet he does not know[it]; Grayhairsalsoare sprinkledon him, Yet he does not know[it].
"For he will be greatin the sightof the Lord;and he will drinknowineorliquor,and he will be filledwith the HolySpiritwhile yetin his mother'swomb.
But Jesuscalledfor them, saying,"Permitthe childrento cometo Me, and do not hinderthem, for the kingdomof Godbelongsto such as these.
Fathers,do not provokeyour childrento anger,but bringthem up in the disciplineand instructionof the Lord.
"But you shall rememberthe LORDyour God,for it is He who is givingyou powerto makewealth,that He may confirmHis covenantwhichHe sworeto your fathers,as [it is] thisday.
and that from childhoodyou have knownthe sacredwritingswhich are ableto give you the wisdomthat leadsto salvationthroughfaithwhich is in ChristJesus.
"So I have alsodedicatedhim to the LORD;as longas he liveshe is dedicatedto the LORD."And he worshipedthe LORDthere.
But the LORDsaidto Samuel,"Do not lookat his appearanceor at the heightof his stature,becauseI have rejectedhim; for God[sees] not as mansees,for manlooksat the outwardappearance,but the LORDlooksat the heart."
Now Samuelwas ministeringbeforethe LORD,[as] a boywearinga linenephod.
Now the boySamuelwas growingin statureand in favorbothwith the LORDand with men.
