"So look,and learnaboutallthe hidingplaceswherehe hideshimself and returnto me with certainty,and I will gowith you; and ifhe is in the land,I will searchhim out among allthe thousandsof Judah."

He sitsin the lurkingplacesof the villages;In the hidingplaceshe killsthe innocent;His eyesstealthilywatchfor the unfortunate.
For their feetrunto evilAnd they hastento shedblood.
"But as for you, BethlehemEphrathah,[Too] littleto be among the clansof Judah,From you One will goforthfor Me to be rulerin Israel.His goingsforthare from longago,From the daysof eternity."
When it cameto rest,he said,"Return,O LORD,[To] the myriadthousandsof Israel."
Nowthe Passoverand UnleavenedBread were twodaysaway;and the chief priestsand the scribeswere seekinghowto seizeHim by stealthand kill[Him];
"Gonow,makemoresure,and investigateand seehis placewherehis hauntis, [and] whohas seenhim there;for I am toldthat he is verycunning.
Then they aroseand wentto ZiphbeforeSaul.Now Davidand his menwere in the wildernessof Maon,in the Arabahto the southof Jeshimon.
"Now, my father,see!Indeed,seethe edgeof your robein my hand!For in that I cutoffthe edgeof your robeand did not killyou, knowand perceivethat thereis noevilor rebellionin my hands,and I have not sinnedagainst you, though you are lyingin waitfor my lifeto takeit.
