It cameabout at noon,that Elijahmockedthem and said,"Callout with a loudvoice,for he is a god;eitherhe is occupiedor goneaside,or is on a journey,or perhapshe is asleepand needs to be awakened."
Declarethe thingsthat are going to comeafterward,That we may knowthat you are gods;Indeed,dogoodor evil,that we may anxiously lookabout us and feartogether.
And He camethe third time,and saidto them, "Are you stillsleepingand resting?It is enough;the hourhas come;behold,the Sonof Manis being betrayedinto the handsof sinners.
He was alsosayingto them, "You are expertsat setting asidethe commandmentof Godin orderto keepyour tradition.
ThenHe cameto the disciplesand saidto them, "Are you stillsleepingand resting?Behold,the houris at handand the Sonof Manis being betrayedinto the handsof sinners.
"As for you, O houseof Israel,"thussaysthe LordGOD,"Go,serveeveryonehis idols;but lateryou will surelylistento Me, and My holynameyou will profanenolongerwith your giftsand with your idols.
Rejoice,youngman,during your childhood,and let your heartbe pleasantduring the daysof youngmanhood.And followthe impulsesof your heartand the desiresof your eyes.Yet knowthat Godwill bringyou to judgmentfor allthesethings.
Behold,He who keepsIsraelWill neitherslumbernorsleep.
ArouseYourself, whydo You sleep,O Lord?Awake,do not rejectus forever.
"But ifyou do go,do[it], be strongfor the battle;[yet] Godwill bringyou downbeforethe enemy,for Godhaspowerto helpand to bringdown."
