“The Spirit of יהוה has spoken through me, And His word is on my tongue.
This was the word of יהוה which He spoke to Yĕhu, saying, “Your sons to the fourth generation are going to sit on the throne of Yisra’ĕl.” And it came to be so.
Even my own friend in whom I trusted, who ate my bread, Has lifted up his heel against me.
Then one of the twelve, called Yehuḏah from Qerioth, went to the chief priests,
And while He was still speaking, see, Yehuḏah, one of the twelve, with a large crowd with swords and clubs, came from the chief priests and elders of the people.
“How then would the Scriptures be filled that it has to be this way?”
But all this came to be, so that the Scriptures of the prophets might be filled. Then all the taught ones left Him and fled.
Dawiḏ himself said by the Set-apart Spirit, ‘יהוה said to my Master, Sit at My right hand, until I make Your enemies a footstool of Your feet.” ’
And immediately, while He was still speaking, Yehuḏah, one of the twelve, with a large crowd with swords and clubs, came from the chief priests and the scribes and the elders.
And while He was still speaking, see: a crowd! And he who was called Yehuḏah, one of the twelve, was going before them and came near to יהושע to kiss Him.
“If He called them elohim, to whom the word of Elohim came – and it is impossible for the Scripture to be broken –
“I do not speak concerning all of you. I know whom I have chosen, but that the Scripture might be filled, ‘He who eats bread with Me has lifted up his heel against Me.’
“When I was with them in the world, I was guarding them in Your Name which You have given Me, and I watched over them, and not one of them perished except the son of destruction, that the Scripture might be filled.
For this took place in order for the Scripture to be filled: “Not one of His bones shall be broken.”
“For it has been written in the Book of Tehillim, ‘Let his dwelling lie waste, and let no one live in it,’ and, ‘Let another take his office.’
And after the reading of the Torah and the Prophets, the rulers of the congregation sent to them, saying, “Men, brothers, if you have any word of encouragement for the people, speak.”
“Let it therefore be known to you, brothers, that through this One forgiveness of sins is proclaimed to you,
And after they were silent, Ya‛aqoḇ answered, saying, “Men, brothers, listen to me:
And when there had been much dispute, Kĕpha rose up and said to them, “Men, brothers, you know that a good while ago Elohim chose among us, that by my mouth the nations should hear the word of the Good News and believe.
this One, given up by the set purpose and foreknowledge of Elohim, you have impaled and put to death through the hands of lawless men –
And having heard this, they were pierced to the heart, and said to Kĕpha and the rest of the emissaries, “Men, brothers, what shall we do?”
And Sha’ul, looking intently at the council, said, “Men, brothers, I have lived in all good conscience before Elohim until this day.”
Now Sha’ul, perceiving that one part were Sadducees and the other Pharisees, cried out in the council, “Men, brothers, I am a Pharisee, the son of a Pharisee, I am being judged concerning the expectation and resurrection of the dead!”
And it came to be after three days that Sha’ul called the leaders of the Yehuḏim together. And when they had come together, he said to them, “Men, brothers, though I have done none at all against our people or the practices of our fathers, I was delivered as a prisoner from Yerushalayim into the hands of the Romans,
And disagreeing with one another, they began to leave, after Sha’ul had spoken one word, “The Set-apart Spirit rightly spoke through Yeshayahu the prophet to our fathers,
And he replied, “Men, brothers and fathers, listen: The Elohim of esteem appeared to our father Aḇraham when he was in Aram Naharayim, before he dwelt in Ḥaran,
searching to know what, or what sort of time, the Spirit which was in them was pointing out concerning Messiah, when it was bearing witness beforehand the sufferings of Messiah, and the esteems that would follow,
for prophecy never came by the desire of man, but men of Elohim spoke, being moved by the Set-apart Spirit.
For it would have been better for them not to have known the way of righteousness, than having known it, to turn from the set-apart command delivered unto them.
