And Eliseus said to them: This is not the way, neither is this the city. Follow me, and I will shew you the man whom you seek. So he led them into Samaria.
And I will have mercy on the house of Juda, and I will save them by the Lord their God: and Iwill not save them by bow, nor by sword, nor by battle, nor by horses, nor by horsemen.
In that day, saith the Lord, I will strike every horse with astonishment, and his rider with madness: and I will open my eyes upon the house of Juda, and will strike every horse of the nations with blindness.
He hath blinded their eyes, and hardened their heart, that they should not see with their eyes, nor understand with their heart, and be converted, and I should heal them.
And Jesus said: For judgment I am come into this world; that they who see not, may see; and they who see, may become blind.
And now behold, the hand of the Lord is upon thee, and thou shalt be blind, not seeing the sun for a time. And immediately there fell a mist and darkness upon him, and going about, he sought some one to lead him by the hand.
What then? That which Israel sought, he hath not obtained: but the election hath obtained it; and the rest have been blinded.
