⁵ H758Because SyriaH669, EphraimH1121, and the sonH7425of RemaliahH7451, have taken evilH3289counsel[H8804] H559against thee, saying[H8800] ,

⁶ H5927Let us go up[H8799] H3063against JudahH6973, and vex[H8686] H1234it, and let us make a breach[H8686] H4427therein for us, and set[H8686] H4428a kingH8432in the midstH1121of it, even the sonH2870of Tabeal:

⁹ H7218And the headH669of EphraimH8111is SamariaH7218, and the headH8111of SamariaH7425is Remaliah'sH1121sonH539. If ye will not believe[H8686] H539, surely ye shall not be established[H8735] .

¹² H271But AhazH559said[H8799] H7592, I will not ask[H8799] H5254, neither will I tempt[H8762] H853 H3068the LORD.

²⁴ H2671With arrowsH7198and with bowsH935shall men come[H8799] H776thither; because all the landH8068shall become briersH7898and thorns.
