Psalm 37:22

I saw a foolish person\par who thought he was safe.\par But suddenly, he died. {\cf2\super [12]} \par


The Lord made heaven and earth.\par And the Lord welcomes you! {\cf2\super [580]} \par


Lord, you criticize proud people.\par Bad things will happen to them.\par They refuse to obey your commands.\par


All of the Lord’s followers are happy.\par Those people live the way God wants.\par


That person will enjoy good things,\par and his children will keep the land \{God promised to give him\}.\par


A person is very happy. {\cf2\super [195]} \par when his sins are forgiven.\par \{That person is very fortunate\}\par when his sins are erased. {\cf2\super [196]} \par


Humble people\par will get the land \{God promised\}.\par And they will enjoy peace.\par


The Lord protects pure people\par all their life.\par Their reward will continue forever.\par


The Lord loves fairness.\par He will not leave his followers\par without help.\par The Lord will always protect his followers,\par but he will destroy wicked people.\par


Why? Because evil people will be destroyed.\par But people that call to the Lord for help\par will get the land \{God promised\}.\par


The Lord is against the families of evil people. But he blesses the homes of people who live right.


When you need help,\par you cry to those false gods\par that you have gathered around you.\par Let them help you!\par But I tell you,\par the wind will blow them all away.\par A puff of wind will blow them all away.\par But the person that depends on me\par will get the land \{I promised\}.\par That person will have my holy mountain. {\cf2\super [445]} \par


“Then the king will say to those bad people on his left, ‘Go away from me. God has already decided that you will be punished. Go into the fire that burns forever. That fire was prepared for the devil and his angels.


If any person does not love the Lord, then let that person be separated from God—lost forever!


But people who depend on following the law \{to make them right\} are under a curse. Why? Because the Scriptures say, “A person must do all the things that are written in the law. {\cf2\super [28]} If he does not always obey, then that person is under a curse!” {\cf2\super [29]}


The law put a curse on us. But Christ took away that curse. He changed places with us. Christ put himself under that curse. The Scriptures say, “When a person’s body is put (hung) on a tree, {\cf2\super [32]} that person is under a curse.” {\cf2\super [33]}


You must live the way the Lord your God commanded you. Then you will continue to live, and everything will be fine with you. You will live a long life in the land that will belong to you.
