Job 5 - Easy To Read Version1 “Job, call out if you want,\par but no one will answer you!\par You can’t turn to any of the angels!\par 2 A foolish person’s anger will kill him.\par A fool’s strong emotions will kill him.\par 3 I saw a foolish person\par who thought he was safe.\par But suddenly, he died. {\cf2\super [12]} \par 4 There was no one to help his children.\par No one defended them in court.\par 5 Hungry people ate all his crops.\par Those hungry people took even\par the grain growing among the thorns.\par Greedy people took all they had.\par 6 Bad times don’t come up from the dirt.\par Trouble does not grow from the ground.\par 7 But man is born to have trouble,\par as sure as sparks fly up from a fire.\par 8 “But Job, if I were you,\par I would turn to God\par and tell him about my problems.\par 9 People can’t understand\par the wonderful things God does.\par There is no end to the miracles God does.\par 10 God sends rain on the earth.\par He sends water to the fields.\par 11 God raises up the humble person,\par and he makes a sad person very happy.\par 12 God stops the plans of clever, evil people,\par so they have no success.\par 13 God catches even wise people\par in their own traps.\par So those clever plans are not successful.\par 14 Those smart people stumble around\par even in the daytime.\par Even at noon, they are like a person\par who feels his way in the dark.\par 15 God saves poor people from death.\par He saves the poor people from\par the power of the clever people.\par 16 So poor people have hope.\par God destroys bad people\par who are not fair.\par 17 “A person is fortunate\par when God corrects him!\par So don’t complain when\par God All-Powerful punishes you.\par 18 God puts bandages\par on the wounds he makes.\par He might injure someone,\par but his hands also heal.\par 19 He will save you from six troubles.\par Yes, might endure seven disasters\par and not be hurt!\par 20 God will save you from death\par when there is famine.\par And God will protect you from death\par when there is war.\par 21 People might say bad things about you\par with their sharp tongues.\par But God will protect you.\par You won’t need to be afraid\par when bad things happen!\par 22 You will laugh at destruction and famine.\par You won’t be afraid of wild animals!\par 23 \{Your agreement is with God,\}\par so even the rocks in the field\par share in your agreement.\par Even the wild animals\par make peace with you.\par 24 You will live in peace\par because your tent is safe.\par You will count your property\par and find nothing missing.\par 25 You will have many children.\par They will be as many as\par the blades of grass on the earth.\par 26 You will be like the wheat that grows\par until harvest time.\par Yes, you will live to a ripe old age.\par 27 “Job, we have studied these things,\par and we know they are true.\par So Job, listen to us,\par and learn them for yourself.”\par |
