Psalm 32 - Easy To Read Version

¹ A person is very happy. {\cf2\super [195]} \par when his sins are forgiven.\par \{That person is very fortunate\}\par when his sins are erased. {\cf2\super [196]} \par

² A person is very happy {\cf2\super [197]} \par when the Lord says he is not guilty.\par \{That person is very fortunate\}\par he didn’t hide his secret sins. {\cf2\super [198]} \par

³ God, I prayed to you again and again,\par but I did not talk \{about my secret sins\}.\par I only became weaker every time I prayed.\par

⁴ God, you made life harder and harder on me, day and night.\par I became like a dry, dry land in the hot summertime.\par \i (SELAH {\cf2\super [199]})\i0 \par

⁵ But then I decided to confess all my sins to the Lord.\par Lord, I told you about my sins.\par I did not hide any of my guilt.\par And you forgave me for all my sins!\par \i (SELAH {\cf2\super [200]})\i0 \par

⁶ For this reason, God, all your followers should pray to you.\par Your followers should pray even when troubles come like a great flood.\par

⁷ God, you are a hiding place for me.\par You protect me from my troubles.\par You surround me and protect me.\par So I sing about the way you saved me.\par \i (SELAH {\cf2\super [201]})\i0 \par

⁸ \{The Lord says,\}\par “I will teach you and guide you\par on the way you should live.\par I will protect you and be your guide.\par

⁹ So don’t be stupid like a horse or a donkey.\par People must use bits and reins {\cf2\super [202]} \par to lead those animals.\par Without those things,\par those animals will not come near {\cf2\super [203]} you.”\par

¹⁰ Many pains will come to bad people.\par But God’s true love\par will surround the people\par that trust the Lord.\par

¹¹ Good people, rejoice\par and be very happy in the Lord.\par All you people with pure hearts, rejoice!\par
