Jeroboam took back Israel’s land which ran from the Lebo Hamath to the Arabah Sea. [167] This happened like the Lord of Israel had told his servant Jonah son of Amittai, the prophet from Gath Hepher.


Some people are trying to kill me.\par But they will be destroyed.\par They will go down to their graves.\par


“The Son of Man {\cf2\super [158]} is Lord (ruler) over the Sabbath day. {\cf2\super [159]} ”


From that time Jesus began telling his followers that he must go to Jerusalem. Jesus explained that the older Jewish leaders, the leading priests, and the teachers of the law would make him suffer many things. And Jesus told his followers that he must be killed. Then, on the third day, he would be raised from death.


Those men will kill the Son of Man. But on the third day the Son of Man will be raised from death.” The followers were very sad \{to hear that Jesus would be killed\}.


and said, “You said you could destroy the temple and build it again in three days. So save yourself! Come down from that cross, if you are really the Son of God!”


But Jesus is not here. He has risen from death, like he said he would. Come and see the place where his body was.


Jesus said to him, “The foxes have holes to live in. The birds have nests to live in. But the Son of Man {\cf2\super [96]} has no place where he can rest his head.”


Jesus answered, “Destroy this temple and I will build it again in three days.”
