The angel said, “Don’t kill your son or hurt him in any way. Now I can see that you do respect and obey God. I see that you are ready to kill your son, your only son, for me.”
Isaac’s wife Rebekah was very beautiful. The men of that place asked Isaac about Rebekah. Isaac said, “She is my sister.” Isaac was afraid to tell them Rebekah was his wife. Isaac was afraid the men would kill him so that they could have her.

But the governors that ruled before me made life hard for the people. Those governors forced every person to pay 1 pound {\cf2\super [17]} of silver. They also made those people give them food and wine. The leaders under those governors also ruled over the people \{and made life even harder\}. But I respected and feared God, so I didn’t do things like that.
There was a man named Job that lived in the country of Uz. Job was a good and faithful man. Job worshiped God and refused to do evil things.
And God said to people,\par “Fear and respect the Lord—\par that is wisdom.\par Don’t do evil things—\par that is understanding.”\par
Bad people have destroyed my people.\par And those bad people don’t know God.\par Bad people have plenty of food to eat. {\cf2\super [76]} \par And they don’t even worship the Lord.\par
The first thing a person must learn is to respect and obey the Lord—that leads to true wisdom. But evil people hate discipline and true wisdom.
True love and loyalty will make you pure. {\cf2\super [21]} Respect the Lord, and you will stay far away from evil.
If you do these things, then you will learn to respect the Lord. You will truly learn about God.
If a person respects the Lord,\par then that person will hate evil.\par I (Wisdom) hate pride\par and people who think they are better\par than other people.\par I hate evil ways, and a lying mouth.\par
