Psalm 14 - Easy To Read Version

¹ A foolish person {\cf2\super [75]} says in his heart,\par “There is no God.”\par Foolish people do terrible, rotten things.\par Not even one of them does good.\par

² The Lord looked down from heaven\par to see if there were any wise people.\par (Wise people turn to God for help.)\par

³ But every person had turned away from God.\par All people had become bad.\par Not even one person was doing good!\par

^4-6 Bad people have destroyed my people.\par And those bad people don’t know God.\par Bad people have plenty of food to eat. {\cf2\super [76]} \par And they don’t even worship the Lord.\par

⁷ Who on Zion {\cf2\super [77]} saves Israel?\par \{It is the Lord who saves Israel!\}\par The Lord’s people were taken away\par and forced to be prisoners.\par But the Lord will bring his people back.\par Then Jacob (Israel) will be very happy.\par
