Then the officer commanded the chariot to stop. Both Philip and the officer went down into the water, and Philip baptized him.
Through our faith, Christ has brought us into that blessing of God’s grace (kindness) that we now enjoy. And we are very happy because of the hope we have of sharing God’s glory.
But we are the people who are truly circumcised. {\cf2\super [16]} We worship (serve) God through his Spirit. {\cf2\super [17]} We are proud to be in Christ Jesus. And we don’t trust in ourselves or anything we can do.
