I will bring back the kind of judges you had in the beginning. Your counselors will be like the counselors you had long ago. Then you will be called ‘The Good and Faithful City.’”


Then maybe I would turn away from Jacob’s {\cf2\super [281]} descendants. {\cf2\super [282]} And then maybe I would not let David’s descendants rule over the descendants of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob. But David is my servant. And I will be kind to those people. And I will again cause good things to happen to those people.”


Then God’s special people will rule the kingdom. And they will rule over all the people from all the kingdoms of earth. {\cf2\super [83]} This kingdom will last forever. And people from all the other kingdoms will respect and serve them.’


In the same way, the people of Israel will continue many days without a king or a leader. They will be without a sacrifice or a memorial stone. {\cf2\super [29]} They will be without an ephod {\cf2\super [30]} or a household god.


“David’s tent {\cf2\super [118]} has fallen,\par but at that time,\par I will set his tent up again.\par I will fix the holes in the walls.\par I will build the ruined buildings again.\par I will build it like it was before.\par

Jesus answered, “They are right to say that Elijah {\cf2\super [109]} must come first. Elijah makes all things the way they should be. But why does the Scripture {\cf2\super [110]} say that the Son of Man {\cf2\super [111]} will suffer much and that people will think he is worth nothing?


Some of the Pharisees {\cf2\super [274]} asked Jesus, “When will the kingdom of God come?”


Jesus traveled closer to Jerusalem. Some of the people thought that God’s kingdom would come soon.


My Father has given me a kingdom. I also give you authority to rule with me.


When Peter saw this follower behind them he asked Jesus, “Lord, what about him?”
