Lord, I am not proud.\par I don’t try to act important.\par I don’t try to do great things.\par I don’t worry about things\par that are too hard for me.\par
God is very important,\par but he still cares for humble people.\par God knows what proud people do,\par but he stays far away from them.\par
I know the Lord will judge poor people fairly.\par God will help helpless people.\par
So Moses and Aaron went to Pharaoh. They told him, “The Lord, the God of the Hebrew people, says, ‘How long will you refuse to obey me? Let my people go to worship me!
Now I know the Lord is greater than all the gods. They thought they were in control, but look what God did!
At that time, people will stop being proud. The people that are now proud will bow low to the ground. And at that time, only the Lord will stand high.
But who did you insult and make fun of?\par Who did you speak against?\par You were against the Holy One of Israel!\par You acted like you were better than him!\par
Those people will be humbled. Those great people will bow their heads and look at the ground.
The people had many troubles,\par but the Lord was not against them.\par The Lord loved the people\par and felt sorry for them.\par So the Lord saved them.\par He sent his special angel to save them.\par He picked them up and carried them,\par and \{he will take care of them\} forever.\par
Now I, Nebuchadnezzar, give praise, honor, and glory to the King of Heaven. Everything he does is right. He is always fair. And he is able to make proud people humble!
“What great blessings there are for the people that \{know they\} have spiritual needs!\par The kingdom of heaven belongs to them.\par
Every person that makes himself important will be made humble. But the person that makes himself humble will be made important.”
