Psalm 12 - Easy To Read Version

¹ Save \{me\} Lord!\par The good people are all gone.\par There are no true believers left among\par all the people on earth. {\cf2\super [67]} \par

² People tell lies to their neighbors.\par Each and every person flatters {\cf2\super [68]} his\par neighbors with lies.\par

³ The Lord should cut off those lips\par that tell lies.\par The Lord should cut out those tongues\par that tell their big stories.\par

⁴ Those people say,\par “We will say the right lies\par and become very important.\par We know what to say,\par so that no one will be our master.”\par

⁵ But the Lord says:\par “Bad people stole from the poor people.\par They took things from helpless people.\par But now I will stand and defend those weary (tired) people.”\par

⁶ The Lord’s words are true and pure\par like silver melted in a hot fire.\par They are pure like silver that was melted and made pure seven times.\par

⁷ Lord, take care of helpless people.\par Protect them now and forever!\par

⁸ Those bad people act important,\par but really, they are like costume jewelry.\par It looks expensive,\par but it is really very cheap. {\cf2\super [69]} \par
