For I fear that perhaps when I come I will not find you to be what I want, and you may not find me to be what you want. Perhaps there will be quarrelling, jealousy, angry outbursts, selfish ambitions, slander, gossip, arrogance, and disorder.
But if you bite and devour one another, watch out, or you will be consumed by one another.
Let us not become conceited, provoking one another, envying one another.
Do nothing out of selfish ambition or conceit, but in humility consider others as more important than yourselves.
and to regard them very highly in love because of their work. Be at peace among yourselves.
See to it that no one repays evil for evil to anyone, but always pursue what is good for one another and for all.
Pursue peace with everyone, and holiness #– #without it no one will see the Lord.
But if you have bitter envy and selfish ambition in your heart, don’t boast and deny the truth.
Brothers and sisters, do not complain about one another, so that you will not be judged. Look, the judge stands at the door!
and let him turn away from evil and do what is good. Let him seek peace and pursue it,
These people are discontented grumblers, living according to their desires; their mouths utter arrogant words, flattering people for their own advantage.
