He settled in the Wilderness of Paran, and his mother got a wife for him from the land of Egypt.
Hadad and his men set out from Midian and went to Paran. They took men with them from Paran and went to Egypt, to Pharaoh king of Egypt, who gave Hadad a house, ordered that he be given food, and gave him land.
God comes from Teman, the Holy One from Mount Paran. Selah His splendour covers the heavens, and the earth is full of his praise.
The Israelites travelled on from the Wilderness of Sinai, moving from one place to the next until the cloud stopped in the Wilderness of Paran.
From Kibroth-hattaavah the people moved on to Hazeroth , and remained there.
After that, the people set out from Hazeroth and camped in the Wilderness of Paran.
The men went back to Moses, Aaron, and the entire Israelite community in the Wilderness of Paran at Kadesh. They brought back a report for them and the whole community, and they showed them the fruit of the land.
Moses sent them from the Wilderness of Paran at the Lord’s command. All the men were leaders in Israel.
Yet we will not have an inheritance with them across the Jordan and beyond, because our inheritance will be across the Jordan to the east.’
We will cross over in battle formation before the Lord into the land of Canaan, but we will keep our hereditary possession across the Jordan.’
They said, ‘If we have found favour with you, let this land be given to your servants as a possession. Don’t make us cross the Jordan.’
The two and a half tribes have received their inheritance across the Jordan east of Jericho, towards the sunrise.’

Samuel died, and all Israel assembled to mourn for him, and they buried him by his home in Ramah. David then went down to the Wilderness of Paran. ,
