Hadad and his men set out from Midian and went to Paran.  They took men with them from Paran and went to Egypt, to Pharaoh king of Egypt,  who gave Hadad a house, ordered that he be given food, and gave him land.


‘I am going to send an angel  before you to protect you on the way and bring you to the place I have prepared.


‘As I was lying in my bed, I also saw in the visions of my mind a watcher, a holy one,  , coming down from heaven.


God comes from Teman, the Holy One from Mount Paran.  Selah His splendour covers the heavens, and the earth is full of his praise.


The Israelites travelled on from the Wilderness of Sinai, moving from one place to the next  until the cloud stopped in the Wilderness of Paran.


You received the law under the direction of angels  and yet have not kept it.’


Now if the ministry that brought death, chiselled in letters on stones, came with glory,  so that the Israelites were not able to gaze steadily at Moses’s face because of its glory, which was set aside,


For if the ministry that brought condemnation had glory, the ministry that brings righteousness overflows with even more glory.


For all who rely on the works of the law are under a curse,  because it is written,  Everyone who does not do everything written in the book of the law is cursed.   ,


Why, then, was the law given?  It was added for the sake of transgressions  until the Seed to whom the promise was made would come. The law was put into effect through angels  by means of a mediator.


These things are being taken figuratively, for the women represent two covenants. One is from Mount Sinai  and bears children into slavery #– #this is Hagar.


‘The Lord spoke these commands in a loud voice to your entire assembly from the fire, cloud, and total darkness on the mountain; he added nothing more. He wrote them on two stone tablets and gave them to me.


and to give relief to you who are afflicted, along with us. This will take place at the revelation of the Lord Jesus from heaven with his powerful angels,


for they could not bear what was commanded: If even an animal touches the mountain, it must be stoned.   ,


For if the message spoken through angels was legally binding  , and every transgression and disobedience received a just punishment,


It was about these that Enoch,  in the seventh generation from Adam, prophesied: ‘Look! The Lord comes with tens of thousands of his holy ones


Then I looked and heard the voice of many angels around the throne, and also of the living creatures and of the elders. Their number was countless thousands, and thousands of thousands.
