I sawat night,and behold,a manwas ridingon a redhorse,and he was standingamongthe myrtletreeswhichwere in the ravine,with red,sorreland whitehorsesbehindhim.
And another,a redhorse,wentout; and to him who saton it, it was grantedto takepeacefrom the earth,and that [men] would slayone another;and a greatswordwas givento him.
"To the angelof the churchin Ephesuswrite:The One who holdsthe sevenstarsin His right hand,the One who walksamongthe sevengoldenlampstands,saysthis:
"Awake,O sword,againstMy Shepherd,And againstthe man,My Associate,"Declaresthe LORDof hosts."Strikethe Shepherdthat the sheepmay be scattered;And I will turnMy handagainstthe littleones.
"Insteadof the thornbushthe cypresswill comeup, And insteadof the nettlethe myrtlewill comeup, And it will be a memorialto the LORD,For an everlastingsignwhich will not be cutoff."
"I will putthe cedarin the wilderness,The acaciaand the myrtleand the olivetree;I will placethe juniperin the desertTogetherwith the boxtreeand the cypress,
"I keptlookingin the nightvisions,And behold,with the cloudsof heavenOne like a Sonof Manwas coming,And He cameup to the Ancientof DaysAnd was presentedbeforeHim.
Danielsaid,"I was lookingin my visionby night,and behold,the fourwindsof heavenwere stirringup the greatsea.
Thenthe mysterywas revealedto Danielin a nightvision.ThenDanielblessedthe Godof heaven;
For thussaysthe highand exaltedOne Who livesforever,whose nameis Holy,"I dwell[on] a highand holyplace, And [also] with the contriteand lowlyof spiritIn order to revivethe spiritof the lowlyAnd to revivethe heartof the contrite.
"Amid disquietingthoughtsfrom the visionsof the night,When deepsleepfallson men,
In Gibeonthe LORDappearedto Solomonin a dreamat night;and Godsaid,"Askwhat[you wish] me to giveyou."
Now it cameabout when Joshuawas by Jericho,that he liftedup his eyesand looked,and behold,a manwas standingoppositehim with his sworddrawnin his hand,and Joshuawentto him and saidto him, "Are you for us orfor our adversaries?"
But Godcameto Abimelechin a dreamof the night,and saidto him, "Behold,you are a deadman becauseof the womanwhomyou have taken,for she is married."
"My belovedhas gonedownto his garden,To the bedsof balsam,To pasture[his flock] in the gardensAnd gatherlilies.
"My belovedis mine, and I am his; He pastures[his flock] among the lilies.
I looked,and behold,a whitehorse,and he who saton it hada bow;and a crownwas givento him, and he wentout conqueringand to conquer.
So they proclaimedand circulateda proclamationin alltheir citiesand in Jerusalem,saying,"Goout to the hills,and bringolivebranchesand wildolivebranches,myrtlebranches,palmbranchesand branchesof [other] leafytrees,to makebooths,as it is written."
On the twenty-fourthdayof the eleventhmonth,whichis the monthShebat,in the secondyearof Darius,the wordof the LORDcameto Zechariahthe prophet,the sonof Berechiah,the sonof Iddo,as follows:
And the manwho was standingamongthe myrtletreesansweredand said,"Theseare those whomthe LORDhas sentto patrolthe earth."
So they answeredthe angelof the LORDwho was standingamongthe myrtletreesand said,"We have patrolledthe earth,and behold,allthe earthis peacefuland quiet."
Godspoketo Israelin visionsof the nightand said,"Jacob,Jacob."And he said,"HereI am."
He said,"HearnowMy words:Ifthere is a prophetamong you, I, the LORD,shall makeMyself knownto him in a vision.I shall speakwith him in a dream.
