But becauseof your stubbornnessand unrepentantheartyou are storingup wrathfor yourselfin the dayof wrathand revelationof the righteous judgmentof God,
"Nowdo not stiffenyour necklike your fathers,but yieldto the LORDand enterHis sanctuarywhichHe has consecratedforever,and servethe LORDyour God,that His burningangermay turnawayfrom you.
He alsorebelledagainst KingNebuchadnezzarwhohad made him swear[allegiance] by God.But he stiffenedhis neckand hardenedhis heartagainstturningto the LORDGodof Israel.
"For the wickedis reservedfor the dayof calamity;They will be ledforthat the dayof fury.
The Lordis at Your righthand;He will shatterkingsin the dayof His wrath.
Do not hardenyour hearts,as at Meribah,As in the dayof Massahin the wilderness,
"As for Me, behold,I will hardenthe heartsof the Egyptiansso that they will goin afterthem; and I will be honoredthrough Pharaohand allhis army,through his chariotsand his horsemen.
"But gonow,leadthe peoplewhereI toldyou. Behold,My angelshall gobeforeyou; nevertheless in the daywhen I punish,I will punishthem for their sin."
But when Pharaohsawthat there was relief,he hardenedhis heartand did not listento them, as the LORDhad said.
But they liein waitfor their own blood;They ambushtheir own lives.
Richesdo not profitin the dayof wrath,But righteousnessdeliversfrom death.
How blessedis the manwho fearsalways,But he who hardenshis heartwill fallinto calamity.
A manwho hardens[his] neckafter much reproofWill suddenlybe brokenbeyondremedy.
For Godwill bringeveryactto judgment,everythingwhich is hidden,whetherit is goodor evil.
"BecauseI knowthat you are obstinate,And your neckis an ironsinewAnd your foreheadbronze,
and the LORDhas brought[it] on and donejustas He promised.Becauseyou [people] sinnedagainst the LORDand did not listento His voice,therefore thisthinghas happenedto you.
"And I will givethem oneheart,and puta newspiritwithinthem. And I will takethe heartof stoneout of their fleshand givethem a heartof flesh,
yet the houseof Israelwill not be willingto listento you, sincethey are not willingto listento Me. Surelythe wholehouseof Israelis stubbornand obstinate.
"But whenhis heartwas liftedup and his spiritbecameso proudthat he behavedarrogantly,he was deposedfrom his royalthroneand [his] glorywas takenawayfrom him.
The iniquityof Ephraimis boundup; His sinis storedup.
"But they do not knowhow to dowhatis right,"declaresthe LORD,"these who hoardup violenceand devastationin their citadels."
For the wrathof Godis revealedfrom heavenagainstallungodlinessand unrighteousnessof menwho suppressthe truthin unrighteousness,
For I do not wantyou, brethren,to be uninformedof thismystery--sothat you will not be wisein your own estimation--that a partialhardeninghas happenedto Israeluntilthe fullnessof the Gentileshas comein;
WhatifGod,although willingto demonstrateHis wrathand to makeHis powerknown,enduredwith muchpatiencevesselsof wrathpreparedfor destruction?
For we mustallappearbeforethe judgment seatof Christ,sothat each onemay be recompensedfor his deeds in the body,accordingto whathe has done,whethergoodorbad.
"But Sihonkingof Heshbonwas not willingfor us to passthrough his land; for the LORDyour Godhardenedhis spiritand madehis heartobstinate,in orderto deliverhim into your hand,as [he is] today.
Is it not laidup in storewith Me, Sealedup in My treasuries?
[This is] a plain indicationof God'srighteousjudgmentsothat you will be considered worthyof the kingdomof God,for whichindeedyou are suffering.
But encourageone anotherdayafterday,as longas it is [still] called"Today,"sothat noneof you will be hardenedby the deceitfulnessof sin.
whileit is said,"TODAYIFYOU HEARHIS VOICE,DO NOT HARDENYOUR HEARTS,AS WHENTHEY PROVOKEDME."
He againfixesa certainday,"Today,"sayingthroughDavidafterso longa timejustas has been said before,"TODAYIFYOU HEARHIS VOICE,DO NOT HARDENYOUR HEARTS."
Your goldand your silverhave rusted;and their rustwill be a witnessagainst you and will consumeyour fleshlikefire.It is in the lastdaysthat you have stored up your treasure!
For it was of the LORDto hardentheir hearts,to meetIsraelin battlein orderthat he might utterlydestroythem, that they might receivenomercy,but that he might destroythem, justas the LORDhad commandedMoses.
[then] the Lordknows howto rescuethe godlyfrom temptation,and to keepthe unrighteousunder punishmentfor the dayof judgment,
But by His wordthe presentheavensand earthare being reservedfor fire,keptfor the dayof judgmentand destructionof ungodlymen.
And angelswho did not keeptheir owndomain,but abandonedtheir properabode,He has keptin eternalbondsunderdarknessfor the judgmentof the greatday,
I gaveher timeto repent,and she does not wantto repentof her immorality.
for the greatdayof their wrathhas come,and whois ableto stand?"
"Whythen do you hardenyour heartsas the Egyptiansand Pharaohhardenedtheir hearts?WhenHe had severelydealtwith them, did they not allow the people to go,and they departed?
