Judahand Israel[were] as numerousas the sandthat is on the seashorein abundance;[they] were eatingand drinkingand rejoicing.
"You will knowalso that your descendantswill be many,And your offspringas the grassof the earth.
"Though your beginningwas insignificant,Yet your endwill increasegreatly.
The treesof the LORDdrinktheir fill,The cedarsof LebanonwhichHe planted,
May he comedownlike rainupon the mowngrass, Like showersthat waterthe earth.
Is it not yetjust a littlewhileBefore Lebanonwill be turnedinto a fertilefield,And the fertilefieldwill be consideredas a forest?
Then He will give[you] rainfor the seedwhichyou will sowin the ground,and bread[from] the yieldof the ground,and it will be richand plenteous;on that dayyour livestockwill grazein a roomypasture.
Untilthe Spiritis pouredout upon us from on high,And the wildernessbecomesa fertilefield,And the fertilefieldis consideredas a forest.
How blessedwill you be, you who sowbesideallwaters,Who letout freelythe oxand the donkey.
It will blossomprofuselyAnd rejoicewith rejoicingand shoutof joy.The gloryof Lebanonwill be givento it, The majestyof Carmeland Sharon.They will seethe gloryof the LORD,The majestyof our God.
As the hostof heavencannotbe countedand the sandof the seacannotbe measured,soI will multiplythe descendantsof DavidMy servantand the Leviteswho ministerto Me.'"
At thistimePeterstoodup in the midstof the brethren(a gatheringof aboutone hundredand twentypersonswas there together),and said,
So then,thosewho had receivedhis wordwere baptized;and that daythere were addedaboutthree thousandsouls.
But manyof thosewho had heardthe messagebelieved;and the numberof the mencameto be aboutfivethousand.
I saidto him, "My lord,you know."And he saidto me, "Theseare the ones who comeout of the greattribulation,and they have washedtheir robesand made them whitein the bloodof the Lamb.
Afterthese thingsI looked,and behold,a greatmultitudewhichno onecouldcount,from everynationand [all] tribesand peoplesand tongues,standingbeforethe throneand beforethe Lamb,clothedin whiterobes,and palm branches[were] in their hands;
