"Commandthe sonsof Israelthat they sendawayfrom the campeveryleperand everyonehaving a dischargeand everyonewho is uncleanbecause of a [dead] person.
Now there were fourleprousmenat the entranceof the gate;and they saidto oneanother,"Whydo we sithereuntilwe die?
"As for the leperwhohas the infection,his clothesshall be torn,and the hair of his headshall be uncovered,and he shall coverhis mustacheand cry,Unclean!Unclean!'
"He shall remainuncleanallthe daysduring whichhe has the infection;he is unclean.He shall livealone;his dwellingshall be outsidethe camp.
"The priestshall look,and ifthe scabhas spreadon the skin,then the priestshall pronouncehim unclean;it is leprosy.
"The one to be cleansedshall then washhis clothesand shaveoffallhis hairand bathein waterand be clean.Now afterward,he may enterthe camp,but he shall stayoutsidehis tentfor sevendays.
Then the LORDsaidto Moses,"Speakto the priests,the sonsof Aaron,and sayto them: 'Noone shall defilehimself for a [dead] personamong his people,
"Ifthere is anypersonwhowill not humblehimself on thissameday,he shall be cutofffrom his people.
But when the cloudhad withdrawnfrom overthe tent,behold,Miriam[was] leprous,as [white as] snow.As AaronturnedtowardMiriam,behold,she [was] leprous.
But the LORDsaidto Moses,"If her fatherhad but spitin her face,would she not bearher shamefor sevendays?Let her be shutup for sevendaysoutsidethe camp,and afterwardshe may be receivedagain."
"And you, campoutsidethe campsevendays;whoeverhas killedany personand whoeverhas touchedany slain,purifyyourselves, you and your captives,on the thirddayand on the seventhday.
Then the LORDspoketo Moses,saying,
