and the Horitesin their MountSeir,as faras El-paran,whichis by the wilderness.
He livedin the wildernessof Paran,and his mothertooka wifefor him from the landof Egypt.
They arosefrom Midianand cameto Paran;and they tookmenwith them from Paranand cameto Egypt,to Pharaohkingof Egypt,who gavehim a houseand assignedhim foodand gavehim land.
Then they setout from Succothand campedin Ethamon the edgeof the wilderness.
Godcomesfrom Teman,And the HolyOnefrom MountParan.Selah.His splendorcoversthe heavens,And the earthis fullof His praise.
Then the LORDspoketo Mosesin the wildernessof Sinai,in the tentof meeting,on the firstof the secondmonth, in the secondyearafter they had comeout of the landof Egypt,saying,
Thus they setout from the mountof the LORDthreedays'journey,with the arkof the covenantof the LORDjourneyingin frontof them for the threedays,to seekout a restingplacefor them.
Afterward,however, the peoplemovedout from Hazerothand campedin the wildernessof Paran.
they proceededto cometo Mosesand Aaronand to allthe congregationof the sonsof Israelin the wildernessof Paran,at Kadesh;and they broughtbackwordto them and to allthe congregationand showedthem the fruitof the land.
So Mosessentthem from the wildernessof Paranat the commandof the LORD,allof them menwho were headsof the sonsof Israel.
Thus the sonsof Israeldid;according to allthat the LORDcommandedMoses,sothey campedby their standards,and sothey setout, everyoneby his familyaccordingto his father'shousehold.
Thus the LORDspoketo Mosesin the wildernessof Sinai,in the firstmonthof the secondyearafter they had comeout of the landof Egypt,saying,
Wheneverthe cloudwas liftedfrom overthe tent,afterwardthe sonsof Israelwould then setout; and in the placewherethe cloudsettleddown,therethe sonsof Israelwould camp.
They observedthe Passoverin the first[month], on the fourteenthdayof the month,at twilight,in the wildernessof Sinai;according to allthat the LORDhad commandedMoses,sothe sonsof Israeldid.
Theseare the wordswhichMosesspoketo allIsraelacrossthe Jordanin the wilderness,in the ArabahoppositeSuph,betweenParanand Topheland Labanand Hazerothand Dizahab.
"Then we setout from Horeb,and wentthrough allthat greatand terriblewildernesswhichyou sawon the wayto the hillcountryof the Amorites,justas the LORDour Godhad commandedus; and we cameto Kadesh-barnea.
Turnand setyour journey,and goto the hillcountryof the Amorites,and to alltheir neighborsin the Arabah,in the hillcountryand in the lowlandand in the Negevand by the seacoast,the landof the Canaanites,and Lebanon,as faras the greatriver,the riverEuphrates.
He said,"The LORDcamefrom Sinai,And dawnedon them from Seir;He shoneforthfrom MountParan,And He camefrom the midst of tenthousandholyones;At His righthandthere was flashinglightningfor them.
Then Samueldied;and allIsraelgatheredtogether and mournedfor him, and buriedhim at his housein Ramah.And Davidaroseand wentdownto the wildernessof Paran.
