"Also in the dayof your gladnessand in your appointedfeasts,and on the first[days] of your months,you shall blowthe trumpetsoveryour burntofferings,and overthe sacrificesof your peaceofferings;and they shall be as a reminderof you beforeyour God.I am the LORDyour God."
He said,"Whywill you goto him today?It is neithernewmoonnorsabbath."And she said,"[It will be] well."
Shebaniah,Joshaphat,Nethanel,Amasai,Zechariah,Benaiahand Eliezer,the priests,blewthe trumpetsbeforethe arkof God.Obed-edomand Jehiahalso [were] gatekeepersfor the ark.
Thus allIsraelbroughtup the arkof the covenantof the LORDwith shouting,and with soundof the horn,with trumpets,with loud-soundingcymbals,with harpsand lyres.
And with them [were] Hemanand Jeduthun[with] trumpetsand cymbalsfor those who should soundaloud, and [with] instruments[for] the songsof God,and the sonsof Jeduthunfor the gate.
The Levitesstoodwith the [musical] instrumentsof David,and the priestswith the trumpets.
While the wholeassemblyworshiped,the singersalso sangand the trumpetssounded;allthis [continued] untilthe burntofferingwas finished.
The priestsstoodat their posts,and the Levitesalso, with the instrumentsof musicto the LORD,whichKingDavidhad madefor givingpraiseto the LORD--"for His lovingkindnessis everlasting"--whenever he gavepraiseby their means,while the priestson the othersideblewtrumpets;and allIsraelwas standing.
Now when the buildershad laidthe foundationof the templeof the LORD,the priestsstoodin their apparelwith trumpets,and the Levites,the sonsof Asaph,with cymbals,to praisethe LORDaccordingto the directionsof KingDavidof Israel.
and someof the sonsof the priestswith trumpets;[and] Zechariahthe sonof Jonathan,the sonof Shemaiah,the sonof Mattaniah,the sonof Micaiah,the sonof Zaccur,the sonof Asaph,
PraiseHim with trumpetsound;PraiseHim with harpand lyre.
Blowthe trumpetat the newmoon,At the fullmoon,on our feastday.
For it is a statutefor Israel,An ordinanceof the Godof Jacob.
How blessedare the peoplewho knowthe joyfulsound!O LORD,they walkin the lightof Your countenance.
"Aaronshall carrythe namesof the sonsof Israelin the breastpieceof judgmentoverhis heartwhen he entersthe holyplace, for a memorialbeforethe LORDcontinually.
"You shall takethe atonementmoneyfrom the sonsof Israeland shall giveit for the serviceof the tentof meeting,that it may be a memorialfor the sonsof Israelbeforethe LORD,to makeatonementfor yourselves."
It will comeabout also in that daythat a greattrumpetwill be blown,and those who were perishingin the landof Assyriaand who were scatteredin the landof Egyptwill comeand worshipthe LORDin the holymountainat Jerusalem.
"Speakto the sonsof Israel,saying,In the seventhmonthon the firstof the monthyou shall havea rest,a reminderby blowing[of trumpets], a holyconvocation.
"Whenyou goto warin your landagainstthe adversarywho attacksyou, then you shall soundan alarmwith the trumpets,that you may be rememberedbeforethe LORDyour God,and be savedfrom your enemies.
Then at the beginningof each of your monthsyou shall presenta burntofferingto the LORD:twobullsand oneram,sevenmalelambsone yearoldwithoutdefect;
Now in the seventhmonth,on the firstday of the month,you shall also havea holyconvocation;you shall donolaboriouswork.It will be to you a dayfor blowingtrumpets.
"Cometo Me, allwho are wearyand heavy-laden,and I will give you rest.
And fixing his gazeon him and beingmuch alarmed,he said,"Whatis it, Lord?"And he saidto him, "Your prayersand almshave ascendedas a memorialbeforeGod.
in a moment,in the twinklingof an eye,at the lasttrumpet;for the trumpet will sound,and the deadwill be raisedimperishable,and we will be changed.
For the LordHimselfwill descendfrom heavenwith a shout,with the voiceof [the] archangeland with the trumpetof God,and the deadin Christwill risefirst.
Thereforecomfortone anotherwith thesewords.
then you shall sayto them, 'Becausethe watersof the Jordanwere cutoffbeforethe arkof the covenantof the LORD;when it crossedthe Jordan,the watersof the Jordanwere cutoff.'So thesestonesshall becomea memorialto the sonsof Israelforever."
"Also sevenpriestsshall carryseventrumpetsof rams'hornsbeforethe ark;then on the seventhdayyou shall marcharoundthe cityseventimes,and the priestsshall blowthe trumpets.
The Spiritand the bridesay,"Come."And let the one who hearssay,"Come."And let the one who is thirstycome;let the one who wishestakethe waterof lifewithout cost.
So Davidsaidto Jonathan,"Behold,tomorrowis the newmoon,and I ought to sitdownto eatwith the king.But letme go,that I may hidemyself in the fielduntilthe thirdevening.
