He who keepsthe lawis a discerningson,But he who is a companionof gluttonshumiliateshis father.
A manwho loveswisdommakeshis fatherglad,But he who keepscompanywith harlotswastes[his] wealth.
For on accountof a harlot[one is reduced] to a loafof bread,And an adulteresshuntsfor the preciouslife.
Alas,sinfulnation,Peopleweigheddownwith iniquity,Offspringof evildoers,Sonswho actcorruptly!They have abandonedthe LORD,They have despisedthe HolyOneof Israel,They have turnedawayfrom Him.
Instead, there is gaietyand gladness,Killingof cattleand slaughteringof sheep,Eatingof meatand drinkingof wine:"Let us eatand drink,for tomorrowwe may die."
"Getout of the way,turnasidefrom the path,Let us hearnomoreabout the HolyOneof Israel."
