Now ifa personsinsafter he hearsa publicadjuration[to testify] when he is a witness,whetherhe has seenor[otherwise] known,ifhe does not tell[it], then he will bearhis guilt.
Then the kingsaidto him, "Howmanytimesmust I adjureyou to speakto me nothingbut the truthin the nameof the LORD?"
"Ifa mansinsagainst his neighborand is madeto takean oath,and he comes[and] takesan oathbeforeYour altarin thishouse,
For my iniquitiesare goneovermy head;As a heavyburdenthey weightoomuchfor me.
an oathbefore the LORDshall be madeby the twoof them that he has not laidhandson his neighbor'sproperty;and its ownershall accept[it], and he shall not makerestitution.
He who is a partnerwith a thiefhateshis own life;He hearsthe oathbut tellsnothing.
That I not be fulland deny[You] and say,"Whois the LORD?"Or that I not be in wantand steal,And profanethe nameof my God.
As a resultof the anguishof His soul,He will see[it and] be satisfied;By His knowledgethe RighteousOne,My Servant,will justifythe many,As He will beartheir iniquities.
For the landis fullof adulterers;For the landmournsbecauseof the curse.The pasturesof the wildernesshave driedup. Their coursealso is evilAnd their mightis not right.
"The personwho sinswill die.The sonwill not bearthe punishmentfor the father'siniquity,norwill the fatherbearthe punishmentfor the son'siniquity;the righteousnessof the righteouswill be upon himself, and the wickednessof the wickedwill be upon himself.
"Behold,allsoulsare Mine; the soulof the fatheras well as the soulof the sonis Mine. The soulwho sinswill die.
"But ifhe does not wash[them] or bathehis body,then he shall bearhis guilt."
Everyone who eatsit will bearhis iniquity,for he has profanedthe holythingof the LORD;and that personshall be cutofffrom his people.
If [there is] a manwhotakeshis sister,his father'sdaughterorhis mother'sdaughter,so that he seesher nakednessand she seeshis nakedness,it is a disgrace;and they shall be cutoffin the sightof the sonsof their people.He has uncoveredhis sister'snakedness;he bearshis guilt.
"Speakto the sonsof Israel,saying,'Ifa personsinsunintentionallyin anyof the thingswhichthe LORDhas commandednot to be done,and commitsanyof them,
"Ifa personactsunfaithfullyand sinsunintentionallyagainstthe LORD'Sholythings,then he shall bringhis guiltofferingto the LORD:a ramwithoutdefectfrom the flock,according to your valuationin silverby shekels,in [terms of] the shekelof the sanctuary,for a guiltoffering.
"Now ifa personsinsand doesanyof the things whichthe LORDhas commandednot to be done,though he was unaware,still he is guiltyand shall bearhis punishment.
So ifanyof the fleshof the sacrificeof his peaceofferingsshould [ever] be eatenon the thirdday,he who offersit will not be accepted,[and] it will not be reckonedto his [benefit]. It shall be an offensivething,and the personwho eatsof it will bearhis [own] iniquity.
But the manwhois cleanand is not on a journey,and yet neglectsto observethe Passover,that personshall then be cutofffrom his people,for he did not presentthe offeringof the LORDat its appointedtime.That manwill bearhis sin.
But Jesuskept silent.And the high priestsaidto Him, "I adjureYou by the livingGod,that You tellus whetherYou are the Christ,the Sonof God."
and He Himselfboreour sinsin His bodyon the cross,sothat we might dieto sinand liveto righteousness;for by His woundsyou were healed.
He saidto his mother,"The elevenhundred[pieces] of silverwhichwere takenfrom you, about which you uttereda cursein my hearing,behold,the silveris with me; I tookit." And his mothersaid,"Blessedbe my sonby the LORD."
