Now she sentand summonedBarakthe sonof Abinoamfrom Kedesh-naphtali,and saidto him, "Behold,the LORD,the Godof Israel,has commanded,'Goand marchto MountTabor,and takewith you tenthousandmenfrom the sonsof Naphtaliand from the sonsof Zebulun.
Arise,O LORD,in Your anger;Liftup Yourself against the rageof my adversaries,And arouseYourself for me; You have appointedjudgment.
The northand the south,You have createdthem; Taborand Hermonshoutfor joyat Your name.
You have a strongarm;Your handis mighty,Your righthandis exalted.
"As I live,"declaresthe KingWhose nameis the LORDof hosts,"Surelyone shall come[who looms up] like Taboramong the mountains,Or like Carmelby the sea.
Hearthis,O priests!Giveheed,O houseof Israel!Listen,O houseof the king!For the judgmentapplies to you, For you have beena snareat MizpahAnd a netspreadout on Tabor.
"For sothe Lordhas commandedus, 'I HAVE PLACEDYOU AS A LIGHTFOR THE GENTILES,THAT YOU MAY BRINGSALVATIONTO THE ENDOF THE EARTH.'"
And whatmoreshall I say?For timewill failme if I tellof Gideon,Barak,Samson,Jephthah,of Davidand Samueland the prophets,
"Have I not commandedyou? Be strongand courageous!Do not trembleor be dismayed,for the LORDyour Godis with you whereveryou go."
The borderreachedto Taborand Shahazumahand Beth-shemesh,and their borderendedat the Jordan;sixteencitieswith their villages.
The sixthlotfellto the sonsof Naphtali;to the sonsof Naphtaliaccording to their families.
The fortifiedcities[were] Ziddim,Zerand Hammath,Rakkathand Chinnereth,
and Kedeshand Edreiand En-hazor,
From the tribeof Naphtali,[they gave] Kedeshin Galilee,the cityof refugefor the manslayer,with its pasturelandsand Hammoth-dorwith its pasturelandsand Kartanwith its pasturelands;threecities.
BarakcalledZebulunand Naphtalitogetherto Kedesh,and tenthousandmenwentup with him; Deborahalso wentup with him.
Then Deborahand Barakthe sonof Abinoamsangon that day,saying,
He sentmessengersthroughoutManasseh,and they alsowere calledtogetherto followhim; and he sentmessengersto Asher,Zebulun,and Naphtali,and they cameup to meetthem.
Then he saidto Zebahand Zalmunna,"Whatkindof men[were] they whomyou killedat Tabor?"And they said,"They were likeyou, each oneresemblingthe sonof a king."
"Then you will goon furtherfrom there,and you will comeas faras the oakof Tabor,and therethreemengoingup to Godat Bethelwill meetyou, onecarryingthreeyounggoats,anothercarryingthreeloavesof bread,and anothercarryinga jugof wine;
"Then the LORDsentJerubbaaland Bedanand Jephthahand Samuel,and deliveredyou from the handsof your enemiesallaround,so that you livedin security.
