Now the angelof the LORDcameup from Gilgalto Bochim.And he said,"I broughtyou up out of Egyptand ledyou into the landwhichI have swornto your fathers;and I said,I will neverbreakMy covenantwith you,
The LORDappearedto Abramand said,"To your descendantsI will givethisland."So he builtan altarthereto the LORDwho had appearedto him.
Then she calledthe nameof the LORDwho spoketo her, "You are a Godwhosees";for she said,"Have I evenremainedalivehereafterseeingHim?"
The angelwho has redeemedme from allevil,Blessthe lads;And may my nameliveon in them, And the namesof my fathersAbrahamand Isaac;And may they growinto a multitudein the midstof the earth."
"I have madea covenantwith My chosen;I have swornto DavidMy servant,
"My covenantI will not violate,Norwill I alterthe utteranceof My lips.
"The LORDwill fightfor you while you keepsilent."
The angelof God,who had been goingbeforethe campof Israel,movedand wentbehindthem; and the pillarof cloudmovedfrom beforethem and stoodbehindthem.
"I am the LORDyour God,whobroughtyou out of the landof Egypt,out of the houseof slavery.
"Behold,I am going to sendan angelbeforeyou to guardyou along the wayand to bringyou into the placewhichI have prepared.
And He said,"My presenceshall go[with you], and I will giveyou rest."
In alltheir afflictionHe was afflicted,And the angelof His presencesavedthem; In His loveand in His mercyHe redeemedthem, And He liftedthem and carriedthem allthe daysof old.
Do not despise[us], for Your own name'ssake;Do not disgracethe throneof Your glory;Remember[and] do not annulYour covenantwith us.
then I will rememberMy covenantwith Jacob,and I will rememberalsoMy covenantwith Isaac,and My covenantwith Abrahamas well,and I will rememberthe land.
Yet in spiteof this,when they are in the landof their enemies,I will not rejectthem, norwill I so abhorthem as to destroythem, breakingMy covenantwith them; for I am the LORDtheir God.
I tookmy staffFavorand cutit in pieces,to breakmy covenantwhichI had madewith allthe peoples.
"Behold,I am going to sendMy messenger,and he will clearthe waybeforeMe. And the Lord,whomyou seek,will suddenlycometo His temple;and the messengerof the covenant,in whomyou delight,behold,He is coming,"saysthe LORDof hosts.
According to the numberof dayswhichyou spiedout the land,fortydays,for everydayyou shall bearyour guilta year,[even] fortyyears,and you will knowMy opposition.
See,I have placedthe landbeforeyou; goin and possessthe landwhichthe LORDsworeto giveto your fathers,to Abraham,to Isaac,and to Jacob,to them and their descendantsafterthem.'
"Orhas a godtriedto goto takefor himself a nationfrom within[another] nationby trials,by signsand wondersand by warand by a mightyhandand by an outstretchedarmand by greatterrors,as the LORDyour Goddidfor you in Egyptbefore your eyes?
"Knowtherefore that the LORDyour God,He is God,the faithfulGod,who keepsHis covenantand His lovingkindnessto a thousandthgenerationwith those who loveHim and keepHis commandments;
Joshuasaid,"By thisyou shall knowthat the livingGodis amongyou, and that He will assuredlydispossessfrom beforeyou the Canaanite,the Hittite,the Hivite,the Perizzite,the Girgashite,the Amorite,and the Jebusite.
Do you not possesswhatChemoshyour godgivesyou to possess?So whateverthe LORDour Godhas drivenout beforeus, we will possessit.
There was a certainmanof Zorah,of the familyof the Danites,whose namewas Manoah;and his wifewas barrenand had borneno[children].
Then the angelof the LORDappearedto the womanand saidto her, "Beholdnow,you are barrenand have borneno[children], but you shall conceiveand givebirthto a son.
So they namedthat placeBochim;and therethey sacrificedto the LORD.
that the LORDsenta prophetto the sonsof Israel,and he saidto them, "Thussaysthe LORD,the Godof Israel,'It was I who broughtyou up from Egyptand broughtyou out from the houseof slavery.
