They wanderedin the wildernessin a desertregion;They did not finda wayto an inhabitedcity.
"So I said,I will bringyou up out of the afflictionof Egyptto the landof the Canaaniteand the Hittiteand the Amoriteand the Perizziteand the Hiviteand the Jebusite,to a landflowingwith milkand honey."'

"For the LORDyour Godhas blessedyou in allthat you have done;He has knownyour wanderingsthrough thisgreatwilderness.Thesefortyyearsthe LORDyour Godhas been with you; you have not lackeda thing."'
"Your clothingdid not wearout on you, nordid your footswellthesefortyyears.
AS I SWOREIN MY WRATH,'THEY SHALL NOT ENTERMY REST.'"

For allthe peoplewho cameout were circumcised,but allthe peoplewho were bornin the wildernessalong the wayas they cameout of Egypthad not been circumcised.
Their childrenwhom He raisedup in their place,Joshuacircumcised;for they were uncircumcised,becausethey had not circumcisedthem along the way.
