Then let him be graciousto him, and say,'Deliverhim from goingdownto the pit,I have founda ransom';
"Yieldnowand be at peacewith Him; Thereby goodwill cometo you.
He keepsbackhis soulfrom the pit,And his lifefrom passingoverinto Sheol.
Let his fleshbecomefresherthanin youth,Let him returnto the daysof his youthfulvigor;
He has redeemedmy soulfrom goingto the pit,And my lifeshall seethe light.'
"[Beware] that wrathdoes not enticeyou to scoffing;And do not let the greatnessof the ransomturnyou aside.
He sentHis wordand healedthem, And delivered[them] from their destructions.
In You our fatherstrusted;They trustedand You deliveredthem.
He broughtme up out of the pitof destruction,out of the miryclay,And He setmy feetupon a rockmakingmy footstepsfirm.
Be to me a rockof habitationto which I may continuallycome;You have givencommandmentto saveme, For You are my rockand my fortress.
For Your lovingkindnesstowardme is great,And You have deliveredmy soulfrom the depthsof Sheol.
But You, O Lord,are a Godmercifuland gracious,Slowto angerand abundantin lovingkindnessand truth.
For You, Lord,are good,and readyto forgive,And abundantin lovingkindnessto allwho callupon You.
And He said,"I Myselfwill make allMy goodnesspassbeforeyou, and will proclaimthe nameof the LORDbeforeyou; and I will be graciousto whomI will be gracious,and will showcompassionon whomI will showcompassion."
But He was piercedthroughfor our transgressions,He was crushedfor our iniquities;The chasteningfor our well-being[fell] upon Him, And by His scourgingwe are healed.
"Is EphraimMy dearson?Is he a delightfulchild?Indeed,as oftenas I have spokenagainst him, I certainly[still] rememberhim; ThereforeMy heartyearnsfor him; I will surelyhavemercyon him," declaresthe LORD.
Takewordswith you and returnto the LORD.Sayto Him, "Takeaway alliniquityAnd receive[us] graciously,That we may presentthe fruitof our lips.
I will healtheir apostasy,I will lovethem freely,For My angerhas turnedawayfrom them.
As for you also,because of the bloodof [My] covenantwith you, I have setyour prisonersfreefrom the waterlesspit.
justas the Sonof Mandid not cometo be served,but to serve,and to giveHis lifea ransomfor many."
