Your menwill fallby the swordAnd your mightyonesin battle.
And her gateswill lamentand mourn,And desertedshe will siton the ground.
For sevenwomenwill takeholdof onemanin that day,saying,"We will eatour own breadand wearour own clothes,onlylet us be calledby your name;takeawayour reproach!"
For thussaysthe LORDconcerningthe sonsand daughtersbornin thisplace,and concerningtheir motherswho bearthem, and their fatherswho begetthem in thisland:
Therefore,givetheir childrenover to famineAnd deliverthem up to the powerof the sword;And let their wivesbecomechildlessand widowed.Let their menalso be smittento death,Their youngmenstruckdownby the swordin battle.
"For I will setapartdestroyersagainstyou, Eachwith his weapons;And they will cutdownyour choicestcedarsAnd throw[them] on the fire.
"Report[it] to the nations,now!ProclaimoverJerusalem,'Besiegerscomefrom a farcountry,And lifttheir voicesagainstthe citiesof Judah.
Thereforea lionfrom the forestwill slaythem, A wolfof the desertswill destroythem, A leopardis watchingtheir cities.Everyonewho goesout of them will be tornin pieces,Becausetheir transgressionsare many,Their apostasiesare numerous.
O daughterof my people,puton sackclothAnd rollin ashes;Mournas for an onlyson,A lamentationmostbitter.For suddenlythe destroyerWill comeupon us.
We have becomeorphanswithouta father,Our mothersare like widows.
"There is a conspiracyof her prophetsin her midstlike a roaringliontearingthe prey.They have devouredlives;they have takentreasureand preciousthings;they have mademanywidowsin the midstof her.
So you will stumbleby day,And the prophetalsowill stumblewith you by night;And I will destroyyour mother.
for it will comeupon allthosewho dwellon the faceof allthe earth.
