"For You said,I will surelyprosperyou and makeyour descendantsas the sandof the sea,whichis toogreatto be numbered.'"
Then he said,"Letme go,for the dawnis breaking."But he said,"I will not letyou gounlessyou blessme."
Now according to the ordinanceof his fatherDavid,he appointedthe divisionsof the priestsfor their service,and the Levitesfor their dutiesof praiseand ministeringbeforethe priestsaccording to the dailyrule,and the gatekeepersby their divisionsat everygate;for Davidthe manof Godhad socommanded.
"May peacebe within your walls,And prosperitywithin your palaces."
Rememberthis,O LORD,that the enemyhas reviled,And a foolishpeoplehas spurnedYour name.
RememberYour congregation,which You have purchasedof old,Which You have redeemedto be the tribeof Your inheritance;[And] thisMountZion,whereYou have dwelt.
"The watchmenwho makethe roundsin the cityfoundme, [And I said], 'Have you seenhim whommy soulloves?'
"The watchmenwho makethe roundsin the cityfoundme, They struckme [and] woundedme; The guardsmenof the wallstookaway my shawlfrom me.
"PutMe in remembrance,let us argueour casetogether;Stateyour [cause], that you may be provedright.
"Behold,I have inscribedyou on the palms[of My hands]; Your wallsare continuallybeforeMe.
Listen!Your watchmenliftup [their] voices,They shoutjoyfullytogether;For they will seewith their owneyesWhen the LORDrestoresZion.
His watchmenare blind,Allof them knownothing.Allof them are mutedogsunableto bark,Dreamerslyingdown,who loveto slumber;
For Zion'ssakeI will not keepsilent,And for Jerusalem'ssakeI will not keepquiet,Untilher righteousnessgoesforthlike brightness,And her salvationlike a torchthat is burning.
Do not despise[us], for Your own name'ssake;Do not disgracethe throneof Your glory;Remember[and] do not annulYour covenantwith us.
"And I setwatchmenoveryou, [saying], 'Listento the soundof the trumpet!'But they said,'We will not listen.'
Remember,O LORD,whathas befallenus; Look,and seeour reproach!
Whydo You forgetus forever?Why do You forsakeus solong?
Thosewho led the waywere sternly tellinghim to be quiet;but he kept cryingout allthe more,"Sonof David,have mercyon me!"
and he said,'Cornelius,your prayerhas been heardand your almshave been rememberedbeforeGod.
And fixing his gazeon him and beingmuch alarmed,he said,"Whatis it, Lord?"And he saidto him, "Your prayersand almshave ascendedas a memorialbeforeGod.
And Godhas appointedin the church,firstapostles,secondprophets,thirdteachers,thenmiracles,thengiftsof healings,helps,administrations,[various] kindsof tongues.
praywithout ceasing;
Obeyyour leadersand submit[to them], for they keep watchoveryour soulsas those who will givean account.Let them dothiswith joyand not with grief,for thiswould be unprofitablefor you.
and they criedout with a loudvoice,saying,"How long,O Lord,holyand true,will You refrainfrom judgingand avengingour bloodon thosewho dwellon the earth?"
