Declaringthe endfrom the beginning,And from ancienttimesthings whichhave not been done,Saying,My purposewill be established,And I will accomplishallMy goodpleasure';
Manyplansare in a man'sheart,But the counselof the LORDwill stand.
The counselof the LORDstandsforever,The plansof His heartfrom generationto generation.
"Evenfrom eternityI am He, And thereis nonewho can deliverout of My hand;I actand whocan reverseit?"
"Declareand setforth[your case]; Indeed,let them consulttogether.Whohas announcedthisfrom of old?Who has longsincedeclaredit? Is it not I, the LORD?And thereis nootherGodbesidesMe, A righteousGodand a Savior;Thereis noneexceptMe.
Thereis nowisdomand nounderstandingAnd nocounselagainstthe LORD.
Whateverthe LORDpleases,He does,In heavenand in earth,in the seasand in alldeeps.
but ifit is of God,you will not be ableto overthrowthem; or elseyou may evenbe foundfighting against God."
Whois likeMe? Let him proclaimand declareit; Yes, let him recountit to Me in order,From the time that I establishedthe ancientnation.And let them declareto them the thingsthat are comingAnd the events that are going to takeplace.
Callinga birdof preyfrom the east,The manof My purposefrom a farcountry.TrulyI have spoken;trulyI will bringit to pass.I have planned[it, surely] I will doit.
In the sameway God,desiringeven moreto showto the heirsof the promisethe unchangeablenessof His purpose,interposedwith an oath,
"Allthe inhabitantsof the earthare accountedas nothing,But He doesaccordingto His willin the hostof heavenAnd [among] the inhabitantsof earth;And noone can wardoffHis handOr sayto Him, 'Whathave You done?'
"The sceptershall not departfrom Judah,Northe ruler'sstafffrom betweenhis feet,UntilShilohcomes,And to him [shall be] the obedienceof the peoples.
SAYSTHE LORD,WHO MAKESTHESE THINGSKNOWNFROM LONG AGO.
And I will putenmityBetweenyou and the woman,And betweenyour seedand her seed;He shall bruiseyou on the head,And you shall bruisehim on the heel."
And it will be that everysoulthat does not heedthat prophetshall be utterly destroyedfrom amongthe people.'
The LORDof hostshas swornsaying,"Surely,justas I have intendedsoit has happened,and justas I have plannedso it will stand,
O LORD,You are my God;I will exaltYou, I will givethanksto Your name;For You have workedwonders,Plans[formed] longago,with perfectfaithfulness.
The grasswithers,the flowerfades,But the wordof our Godstandsforever.
"Whohas performedand accomplished[it], Callingforth the generationsfrom the beginning?I, the LORD,am the first,and with the last.I am He.'"
"I declaredthe formerthingslongagoAnd they wentforthfrom My mouth,and I proclaimedthem. SuddenlyI acted,and they cameto pass.
"Assemble,allof you, and listen!Whoamong them has declaredthesethings?The LORDloveshim; he will carryout His goodpleasureon Babylon,And His arm[will be against] the Chaldeans.
But the LORDwas pleasedTo crushHim, putting[Him] to grief;IfHe would renderHimself[as] a guiltoffering,He will see[His] offspring,He will prolong[His] days,And the goodpleasureof the LORDwill prosperin His hand.
Sowill My wordbe whichgoesforthfrom My mouth;It will not returnto Me empty,WithoutaccomplishingwhatI desire,And without succeeding[in the matter] for whichI sentit.
Those whoescapethe swordwill returnout of the landof Egyptto the landof Judahfewin number.Then allthe remnantof Judahwho have goneto the landof Egyptto residetherewill knowwhosewordwill stand,Mineor theirs.
Ephraimwill becomea desolationin the dayof rebuke;Among the tribesof IsraelI declarewhat is sure.
"But He is uniqueand whocan turnHim? And [what] His souldesires,that He does.
So it will be that whenthe Lordhas completedallHis workon MountZionand on Jerusalem,[He will say], "I will punishthe fruitof the arrogantheartof the kingof Assyriaand the pompof his haughtiness."
"Presentyour case,"the LORDsays."Bringforwardyour strong[arguments]," The Kingof Jacobsays.
"Behold,it is comingand it shall be done,"declaresthe LordGOD."That is the dayof whichI have spoken.
