Unlessthe LORDof hostsHad leftus a fewsurvivors,We would be like Sodom,We would be likeGomorrah.
Now in that daythe gloryof Jacobwill fade,And the fatnessof his fleshwill becomelean.
In that daythe LORDwill start [His] threshingfrom the flowingstreamof the Euphratesto the brookof Egypt,and you will be gatheredup oneby one,O sonsof Israel.
"Yetthere will be a tenthportionin it, And it will againbe [subject] to burning,Like a terebinthor an oakWhosestumpremains whenit is felled.The holyseedis its stump."
Those whoescapethe swordwill returnout of the landof Egyptto the landof Judahfewin number.Then allthe remnantof Judahwho have goneto the landof Egyptto residetherewill knowwhosewordwill stand,Mineor theirs.
Even when their survivorsescape,they will be on the mountainslike dovesof the valleys,allof them mourning,eachover his own iniquity.
Now when you reapthe harvestof your land,you shall not reapto the very cornersof your field,norshall you gatherthe gleaningsof your harvest.
"I will surelyassembleallof you, Jacob,I will surelygatherthe remnantof Israel.I will putthem togetherlike sheepin the fold;Like a flockin the midstof its pastureThey will be noisywith men.
Woeis me! For I amLike the fruitpickers,like the grapegatherers.Thereis not a clusterof grapes to eat,[Or] a first-ripefig[which] I crave.
"Unlessthosedayshad been cutshort,nolifewould have been saved;but for the sakeof the electthosedayswill be cut short.
But you havea fewpeoplein Sardiswhohave not soiledtheir garments;and they will walkwith Me in white,for they are worthy.
