"The blessingsof your fatherHave surpassedthe blessingsof my ancestorsUp to the utmostboundof the everlastinghills;May they be on the headof Joseph,And on the crownof the headof the onedistinguishedamong his brothers.
"Are they as strawbeforethe wind,And like chaffwhich the stormcarriesaway?
"[It is God] who removesthe mountains,they knownot [how], WhenHe overturnsthem in His anger;
But the lovingkindnessof the LORDis from everlastingto everlastingon those who fearHim, And His righteousnessto children'schildren,
He looksat the earth,and it trembles;He touchesthe mountains,and they smoke.
Let them be like chaffbeforethe wind,With the angelof the LORDdriving[them] on.
Whydo you lookwith envy,O mountainswith [many] peaks,At the mountainwhich Godhas desiredfor His abode?Surelythe LORDwill dwell[there] forever.
Beforethe mountainswere bornOr You gavebirthto the earthand the world,Even from everlastingto everlasting,You are God.
The mountainsmeltedlike waxat the presenceof the LORD,At the presenceof the Lordof the wholeearth.
"The peopleshave heard,they tremble;Anguishhas grippedthe inhabitantsof Philistia.
"Thenthe chiefsof Edomwere dismayed;The leadersof Moab,tremblinggripsthem; Allthe inhabitantsof Canaanhave meltedaway.
"You will bringthem and plantthem in the mountainof Your inheritance,The place,O LORD,which You have madefor Your dwelling,The sanctuary,O Lord,which Your handshave established.
Now MountSinai[was] allin smokebecausethe LORDdescendedupon it in fire;and its smokeascendedlike the smokeof a furnace,and the wholemountainquakedviolently.
"Whetherit goresa sonora daughter,it shall be doneto him according to the samerule.
"Liftup your eyesto the sky,Then lookto the earthbeneath;For the skywill vanishlike smoke,And the earthwill wearout like a garmentAnd its inhabitantswill diein likemanner;But My salvationwill be forever,And My righteousnesswill not wane.
"For the mothwill eatthem like a garment,And the grubwill eatthem like wool.But My righteousnesswill be forever,And My salvationto allgenerations."
The remnantof JacobWill be among the nations,AmongmanypeoplesLike a lionamong the beastsof the forest,Like a younglionamong flocksof sheep,Which,ifhe passesthrough,Tramplesdownand tears,And thereis noneto rescue.
Mountainsquakebecauseof Him And the hillsdissolve;Indeed the earthis upheavedby His presence,The worldand allthe inhabitantsin it.
Are You not from everlasting,O LORD,my God,my HolyOne?We will not die.You, O LORD,have appointedthem to judge;And You, O Rock,have establishedthem to correct.
The mountainssawYou [and] quaked;The downpourof waterssweptby. The deeputteredforthits voice,It liftedhighits hands.
"Heavenand earthwill passaway,but My wordswill not pass away.
"AND HIS MERCYIS UPON GENERATIONAFTERGENERATIONTOWARD THOSEWHO FEARHIM.
and He madefrom one[man] everynationof mankindto liveon allthe faceof the earth,having determined[their] appointedtimesand the boundariesof their habitation,
"When the MostHighgavethe nationstheir inheritance,When He separatedthe sonsof man,He setthe boundariesof the peoplesAccording to the numberof the sonsof Israel.
"And with the bestthingsof the ancientmountains,And with the choicethingsof the everlastinghills,
JesusChrist[is] the sameyesterdayand todayand forever.
