The LORDsaidto her, "Twonationsare in your womb;And twopeopleswill be separatedfrom your body;And one peopleshall be strongerthanthe other;And the oldershall servethe younger."
"I will blessher, and indeedI will giveyou a sonby her. Then I will blessher, and she shall be [a mother of] nations;kingsof peopleswill comefrom her."
"As for Me, behold,My covenantis with you, And you will be the fatherof a multitudeof nations.
They blessedRebekahand saidto her, "May you, our sister,Becomethousandsof tenthousands,And may your descendantspossessThe gateof those who hatethem."

Then Isaactrembledviolently,and said,"Whowas he thenthat huntedgameand brought[it] to me, so that I ateof all[of it] beforeyou came,and blessedhim? Yes,and he shall be blessed."
But Isaacrepliedto Esau,"Behold,I have madehim your master,and allhis relativesI have givento him as servants;and with grainand newwineI have sustainedhim. Now as for you then,whatcan I do,my son?"
"By your swordyou shall live,And your brotheryou shall serve;But it shall comeabout whenyou becomerestless,That you will breakhis yokefrom your neck."
The messengersreturnedto Jacob,saying,"We cameto your brotherEsau,and furthermorehe is comingto meetyou, and fourhundredmenare with him."

Now theseare the kingswhoreignedin the landof Edombeforeany kingreignedover the sonsof Israel.
But his fatherrefusedand said,"I know,my son,I know;he alsowill becomea peopleand he alsowill be great.However,his youngerbrothershall be greaterthanhe, and his descendantsshall becomea multitudeof nations."

Now therewas nokingin Edom;a deputywas king.

The delivererswill ascendMountZionTo judgethe mountainof Esau,And the kingdomwill be the LORD'S.
