Then He saidto me, "Sonof man,standon your feetthat I may speakwith you!"
Whatis manthat You takethoughtof him, And the sonof manthat You carefor him?
As the appearanceof the rainbowin the cloudson a rainyday,so[was] the appearanceof the surroundingradiance.Such[was] the appearanceof the likenessof the gloryof the LORD.And when I saw[it], I fellon my faceand hearda voicespeaking.
"Therefore, sonof man,preparefor yourself baggagefor exileand gointo exileby dayin their sight;even gointo exilefrom your placeto anotherplacein their sight.Perhapsthey will understandthoughthey are a rebellioushouse.
"Sonof man,prophesyagainstthe prophetsof Israelwho prophesy,and sayto those who prophesyfrom their own inspiration,Listento the wordof the LORD!
"Sonof man,ifa countrysinsagainst Me by committingunfaithfulness,and I stretchout My handagainstit, destroyits supplyof bread,sendfamineagainst it and cutofffrom it both manand beast,
"Sonof man,thesemenhave setup their idolsin their heartsand have putrightbeforetheir facesthe stumblingblockof their iniquity.Should I be consultedby them at all?
"Sonof man,howis the woodof the vine[better] thananywoodof a branchwhichis among the treesof the forest?
"Sonof man,makeknownto Jerusalemher abominations
"Sonof man,propounda riddleand speaka parableto the houseof Israel,
Then He saidto me, "Sonof man,I am sendingyou to the sonsof Israel,to a rebelliouspeoplewhohave rebelledagainst Me; they and their fathershave transgressedagainst Me to thisveryday.
"And you, sonof man,neitherfearthem norfeartheir words,thoughthistlesand thornsare with you and you siton scorpions;neitherfeartheir wordsnorbe dismayedat their presence,for they are a rebellioushouse.
"Now you, sonof man,listento whatI am speakingto you; do not be rebelliouslike that rebellioushouse.Openyour mouthand eatwhatI am givingyou."
"Sonof man,speakto the eldersof Israeland sayto them, 'Thussaysthe LordGOD,"Do you cometo inquireof Me? As I live,"declaresthe LordGOD,"I will not be inquiredof by you."'
Then He saidto me, "Sonof man,eatwhatyou find;eatthisscroll,and go,speakto the houseof Israel."
Moreover, He saidto me, "Sonof man,takeinto your heartallMy wordswhichI will speakto you and listenclosely.
"Sonof man,I have appointedyou a watchmanto the houseof Israel;whenever you heara wordfrom My mouth,warnthem from Me.
Then He saidto me, "Sonof man,goto the houseof Israeland speakwith My wordsto them.
He saidto me, "Sonof man,can theseboneslive?"And I answered,"O LordGOD,You know."
"Now you sonof man,getyourself a brick,placeit beforeyou and inscribea cityon it, Jerusalem.
The mansaidto me, "Sonof man,seewith your eyes,hearwith your ears,and giveattentionto allthat I am going to showyou; for you have been broughtherein orderto show[it] to you. Declareto the houseof Israelallthat you see."
And He saidto me, "Sonof man,thussaysthe LordGOD,'Theseare the statutesfor the altaron the dayit is built,to offerburntofferingson it and to sprinklebloodon it.
"As for you, sonof man,takea sharpsword;takeand useit [as] a barber'srazoron your headand beard.Then takescalesfor weighingand dividethe hair.
"And you, sonof man,thussaysthe LordGODto the landof Israel,An end!The endis comingon the fourcornersof the land.
He saidto me, "O Daniel,manof highesteem,understandthe wordsthat I am about to tellyou and standupright,for I have nowbeen sentto you." And when he had spokenthiswordto me, I stoodup trembling.
He said,"O manof highesteem,do not be afraid.Peacebe with you; takecourageand be courageous!"Now as soon as he spoketo me, I receivedstrengthand said,"May my lordspeak,for you have strengthenedme."
So he camenearto whereI was standing,and when he cameI was frightenedand fellon my face;but he saidto me, "Sonof man,understandthat the visionpertains to the timeof the end."
And Jesuscameto [them] and touchedthem and said,"Getup, and do not be afraid."
"No onehas ascendedinto heaven,but He who descendedfrom heaven:the Sonof Man.
"For Godsolovedthe world,that He gaveHis only begottenSon,that whoeverbelievesin Him shall not perish,but haveeternallife.
But getup and standon your feet;for thispurpose I have appearedto you, to appointyou a ministerand a witnessnot onlyto the things whichyou have seen,but alsoto the things in whichI will appearto you;
but getup and enterthe city,and it will be toldyou whatyou mustdo."
