The LORDalso saidto Moses,"Goto the peopleand consecratethem todayand tomorrow,and let them washtheir garments;
So Jacobsaidto his householdand to allwhowere with him, "Putawaythe foreigngodswhichare amongyou, and purifyyourselves and changeyour garments;
Then Mephibosheththe sonof Saulcamedownto meetthe king;and he had neithercaredfor his feet,nortrimmedhis mustache,norwashedhis clothes,from the daythe kingdeparteduntilthe dayhe came[home] in peace.
But the priestswere too few,so that they were unableto skinallthe burntofferings;therefore their brothersthe Leviteshelpedthem untilthe workwas completedand untilthe [other] priestshad consecratedthemselves. For the Leviteswere moreconscientiousto consecratethemselves thanthe priests.
Then he saidto them, "Listento me, O Levites.Consecrateyourselves now,and consecratethe houseof the LORD,the Godof your fathers,and carrythe uncleannessout from the holyplace.
Whenthe daysof feastinghad completedtheir cycle,Jobwould sendand consecratethem, risingup earlyin the morningand offeringburntofferings[according to] the numberof them all;for Jobsaid,"Perhapsmy sonshave sinnedand cursedGodin their hearts."ThusJobdidcontinually.
and whoeverpicksup anyof their carcassesshall washhis clothesand be uncleanuntilevening.
Anyone,moreover, whotoucheshis bedshall washhis clothesand bathein waterand be uncleanuntilevening;
"Sayto the people,Consecrateyourselves for tomorrow,and you shall eatmeat;for you have weptin the earsof the LORD,saying,"Ohthat someonewould give us meatto eat!For we were well-offin Egypt."Therefore the LORDwill giveyou meatand you shall eat.
Then the clean[person] shall sprinkleon the uncleanon the thirddayand on the seventhday;and on the seventhdayhe shall purifyhim from uncleanness,and he shall washhis clothesand bathe[himself] in waterand shall be cleanby evening.
everythingthat can standthe fire,you shall passthroughthe fire,and it shall be clean,but it shall be purifiedwith waterfor impurity.But whatevercannotstandthe fireyou shall passthroughthe water.
"And you shall washyour clotheson the seventhdayand be clean,and afterwardyou may enterthe camp."
The Levites,too, purifiedthemselves from sinand washedtheir clothes;and Aaronpresentedthem as a waveofferingbeforethe LORD.Aaronalso madeatonementfor them to cleansethem.
"Thusyou shall doto them, for their cleansing:[sprinkle] purifyingwateron them, and let them usea razorovertheir wholebodyand washtheir clothes,and they will be clean.
Suchwere someof you; but you were washed,but you were sanctified,but you were justifiedin the nameof the LordJesusChristand in the Spiritof our God.
let us draw nearwith a sincereheartin full assuranceof faith,having our heartssprinkled[clean] from an evilconscienceand our bodieswashedwith purewater.
Then Joshuasaidto the people,"Consecrateyourselves, for tomorrowthe LORDwill dowondersamongyou."
"Riseup! Consecratethe peopleand say,'Consecrateyourselves for tomorrow,for thusthe LORD,the Godof Israel,has said,"There are thingsunderthe banin your midst,O Israel.You cannotstandbeforeyour enemiesuntilyou have removedthe thingsunderthe banfrom your midst."
Blessedare thosewho washtheir robes,sothat they may have the rightto the treeof life,and may enterby the gatesinto the city.
I saidto him, "My lord,you know."And he saidto me, "Theseare the ones who comeout of the greattribulation,and they have washedtheir robesand made them whitein the bloodof the Lamb.
He said,"In peace;I have cometo sacrificeto the LORD.Consecrateyourselves and comewith me to the sacrifice."He also consecratedJesseand his sonsand invitedthem to the sacrifice.
