but becausethe LORDlovedyou and keptthe oathwhichHe sworeto your forefathers,the LORDbroughtyou out by a mightyhandand redeemedyou from the houseof slavery,from the handof Pharaohkingof Egypt.
But he hesitated.So the menseizedhis handand the handof his wifeand the handsof his twodaughters,for the compassionof the LORD[was] upon him; and they broughthim out, and puthim outsidethe city.
Thus it cameabout, when Goddestroyedthe citiesof the valley,that GodrememberedAbraham,and sentLotout of the midstof the overthrow,when He overthrewthe citiesin whichLotlived.
"He also broughtme forthinto a broadplace;He rescuedme, becauseHe delightedin me.
"Blessedbe the LORDyour Godwhodelightedin you to setyou on the throneof Israel;because the LORDlovedIsraelforever,therefore He madeyou king,to dojusticeand righteousness."
[The covenant] whichHe madewith Abraham,And His oathto Isaac.
"Blessedbe the LORDyour Godwhodelightedin you, settingyou on His throneas kingfor the LORDyour God;because your GodlovedIsraelestablishingthem forever,therefore He madeyou kingoverthem, to dojusticeand righteousness."
For He rememberedHis holyword[With] AbrahamHis servant;
For by their own swordthey did not possessthe land,And their own armdid not savethem, But Your righthandand Your armand the lightof Your presence,For You favoredthem.
You are my King,O God;Commandvictoriesfor Jacob.
"And it shall be whenyour sonasksyou in timeto come,saying,'Whatis this?'then you shall sayto him, 'With a powerfulhandthe LORDbroughtus out of Egypt,from the houseof slavery.
Mosessaidto the people,"Rememberthisdayin whichyou wentout from Egypt,from the houseof slavery;for by a powerfulhandthe LORDbroughtyou out from thisplace. And nothingleavenedshall be eaten.
"I am the LORDyour God,whobroughtyou out of the landof Egypt,out of the houseof slavery.
"RememberAbraham,Isaac,and Israel,Your servantsto whomYou sworeby Yourself, and saidto them, 'I will multiplyyour descendantsas the starsof the heavens,and allthislandof whichI have spokenI will giveto your descendants,and they shall inherit[it] forever.'"
"Say,therefore,to the sonsof Israel,I am the LORD,and I will bringyou out from underthe burdensof the Egyptians,and I will deliveryou from their bondage.I will also redeemyou with an outstretchedarmand with greatjudgments.
"Sinceyou are preciousin My sight,[Since] you are honoredand I loveyou, I will give[other] menin your placeand [other] peoplesin exchangefor your life.
In alltheir afflictionHe was afflicted,And the angelof His presencesavedthem; In His loveand in His mercyHe redeemedthem, And He liftedthem and carriedthem allthe daysof old.
The LORDappearedto him from afar,[saying], "I have lovedyou with an everlastinglove;ThereforeI have drawnyou with lovingkindness.
"Thereforesayto the houseof Israel,'Thussaysthe LordGOD,"It is not for your sake,O houseof Israel,that I am about to act,but for My holyname,whichyou have profanedamong the nationswhereyou went.
"Indeed,I broughtyou up from the landof EgyptAnd ransomedyou from the houseof slavery,And I sentbeforeyou Moses,Aaronand Miriam.
You will givetruthto Jacob[And] unchangingloveto Abraham,WhichYou sworeto our forefathersFrom the daysof old.
"The LORDyour Godis in your midst,A victoriouswarrior.He will exultoveryou with joy,He will be quietin His love,He will rejoiceoveryou with shoutsof joy.
"I have lovedyou," saysthe LORD.But you say,"Howhave You lovedus?" "[Was] not EsauJacob'sbrother?"declaresthe LORD."Yet I have lovedJacob;
"Yes,Father,for this waywas well-pleasingin Your sight.
As He spoketo our fathers,To Abrahamand his descendantsforever."
From the standpointof the gospelthey are enemiesfor your sake,but from the standpointof [God's] choicethey are belovedfor the sakeof the fathers;
See,I have placedthe landbeforeyou; goin and possessthe landwhichthe LORDsworeto giveto your fathers,to Abraham,to Isaac,and to Jacob,to them and their descendantsafterthem.'
"Yeton your fathersdid the LORDsetHis affectionto lovethem, and He chosetheir descendantsafterthem, [even] you aboveallpeoples,as [it is] thisday.
"You shall neverseektheir peaceor their prosperityallyour days.
"Indeed,He lovesthe people;AllYour holyonesare in Your hand,And they followedin Your steps;[Everyone] receivesof Your words.
"But the LORDhas takenyou and broughtyou out of the ironfurnace,from Egypt,to be a peoplefor His own possession,as today.
"Orhas a godtriedto goto takefor himself a nationfrom within[another] nationby trials,by signsand wondersand by warand by a mightyhandand by an outstretchedarmand by greatterrors,as the LORDyour Goddidfor you in Egyptbefore your eyes?
"BecauseHe lovedyour fathers,therefore He chosetheir descendantsafterthem. And He personallybroughtyou from Egyptby His greatpower,
I am the LORDyour Godwhobroughtyou out of the landof Egypt,out of the houseof slavery.
We love,becauseHe firstlovedus.
"For the LORDwill not abandonHis peopleon accountof His greatname,becausethe LORDhas been pleasedto makeyou a peoplefor Himself.
